the worst place to rent a car, stay away from there, it's my third time and it was hard for me to learn my lesson. The first time I rented but the man who works there is super disrespectful and very unprofessional, the first time I thought he had a bad day and I let him go, the second and third time I couldn't get a vehicle with vehicles parked outside, always a problem with the reservation and a lot of absurd excuses. If he doesn't like you you won't get a vehicle. don't waste your time there

Worst experience ever. I mase a reservation to find out they won't approve because my CREDIT CARD does NOT have a chip in it. This is by far the worst place to do business with, and they are very unprofessional.

The employee by the name of Bill is extremely rude and abrupt. He talks to customers on speaker phone while others are in the office.When I picked up my car I asked him to show me where the gas lever was he showed me and then I asked him something else I asked him again where the gas lever was and he said I already told you….extremely poor customer service I have also contacted Mapfre and advised of this as this was a rental car due to an accident

It took me 35 minutes on the phone to get a human being. That was even after dialing the local number. Terrible customer service. It's so hard to talk to a human being.

Picked up a rental car and it had four Pinetree air fresheners hanging from the rearview mirror. It also had a glade plug-in air freshener on one of the air vents. The rental also smelled of marijuana very faintly. None of these things bothered me all that much as I’ve gotten into rental cars in the past, which smelled like smoke. However, two days later, when I dropped the car off the 50 year-old white gentleman behind the counter decided to point the finger at me for the faint marijuana smell. He also used the Pinetree air fresheners and glade plug-in against me as evidence. He said the cleaning crew always takes those things out and there’s no way they would’ve been in there. I’m a 35-year-old gentleman with a decent education and no early onset dementia to my knowledge. The Pinetree air fresheners were 110% absolutely in the car when I picked it up. I found it totally disgusting that he was trying to charge me a smoking fee when I did nothing except drive the car for two days. Next time I rent a car and it smells like smoke I’m going to walk back in and tell them so that it’s on record. I literally had to argue with him for 10 minutes and he claims he’s not going to charge me now. What a great customer service experience. Also good luck finding a parking space there. The parking lot is about the size of a large pair of shoes.

How impressive it is that Avis car rental never hast told me they Don't have a car. Yet hertz has done it repeatedly, frequently this month alone. Thank you Avis car rental for always having cars for rent as a rental co. ... They should buy hertz , dispose the garbage, and put new management

I utilized an Uber to reach the Hertz office for my confirmed reservation. Despite the reserved Tesla being ready, the attendant named Bill, who declined to provide his full name, opted to retain the car for a preferred customer arriving the following day. While I comprehend vehicle scarcity during holiday rushes, that wasn't the issue here. I questioned the legality of the situation with my legal advisor. It raises the question of whether he's operating a personal arrangement on the side.

I made confirmed booking via Uber app but the person at Hertz claimed that there are no cars, complete disappointment ad frustration. I paid for an Uber trip going to pick the car for nothing, then I ended up with taking another Uber trip going home empty handed. No apologies and no word of regret or respect for the customer's time and money. Hopeless...

My wife got a rental car from this location. Usually, most of Hertz locations are professional and amazing. But this location is horrendous and just awful. The most important aspects of a car rental service are Cars and People. Both are below par.1. People - I am not sure what it takes for people to be nice. Without naming anyone, I would say that the people here are absolutely rude. When we got the car, we were made to wait almost 40 minutes for cleaning. Upon checking, the fuel was only 1/4th. We didn't want to wait any longer and took the car. When we returned the car, they argued with us for returning the car with incorrect fuel level. They didn't even have proof for the level of fuel. Luckily we had clicked a picture of the dashboard before accepting the car. There was absolutely no listening to us. Unprofessional at best!2. The Car - We had the car for 10 days. The car we got was probably one of the worst maintained cars. Continuous problems with Tire Pressure was just one of the problems we faced. It is very problematic especially when we had told that the car was needed for long rides (almost 2K miles). When we got the car, it was so dirty that a homeless person wouldn't sleep in it. They only cleaned it upon us not accepting the car as is.Verdict: Avoid this venue for a Hertz Rental at all costs. There are many more nearby with better service and better cars!

The app let me reserve a car today, but none were available. I got a ride out to get the car at the end of the business day and now I'm scrambling for a car to drive for work tomorrow. Really inconvenient. The guy working there was nice about it though, he couldn't cancel for me and I had to call. Then they didn't recognize the format of there own reservation number I got from Hertz. Gotta be honest, my experience with Hertz as a company is poor enough for me to encourage you to try literally anything else. National is great, just no locations near Worcester.

While the staff was friendly and kind, both on the phone and in person, I found clear communication and protocol to be sorely lacking from Hertz. Beginning with an automatic call tree that is convoluted and which hung up on me at multiple junctures, the problems continued when I was told over the phone that a rental car would be brought to the auto shop for me to drive, only to find out in the moment of their arrival that, in fact, I was about to be driven across the city to their place to get the car. At no point beforehand was this communicated with me, but a simple extra minute of clear conversation could have changed my entire morning. Fortunately I was able to get emergency coverage for my class so that my students weren't left alone, but I was further frustrated when I had to provide proof that I was on the insurance policy, as my wife is listed as the primary holder. Again, the many calls I had with Hertz leading up to this could have been an opportunity for this communication. I did convey these concerns in person, but was offered only the most cursory (and singular, eye-contactless) apology. Because of the insurance connection, I had no choice but to use Hertz, but it's for this reason - that I had to use them - that I feel nobody even cared about my complaint. It would have been nice to be offered a handshake and the assurance of better communication.

Almost ran out of cars and told me I'd be out of luck, though I booked it 2 weeks before.Didn't tell me until AFTER I checked out I'd get charged for all 3 days even though I brought it back 2 days early.Terrible company. Terribly run. Terrible customer service. Please use anywhere else.

Wish I had read reviews. Car was great, but service was awful. Walked in at our appointment time to pick up cat and was told the car might not be ready because we didn't have a reservation. We pointed out that we did, and were told it still might not be available because other people may have made reservations "weeks or months in advance". Ok. We asked if there was a car for us or not. We were the only people there. We got the car but the person seemed determined to argue with us about wether our reservation is valid. Just aggravating all around. Going to enterprise next time
