“I went to the salon on a recommendation from a friend. I absolutely loved it. Clothing is sold on the main floor. Checking in was a little confusing, but where you would pay for your clothing that is where you check in for the salon. The salon is open, bright lights and windows in both sides of the building. Everyone was so nice.”
“I stopped by Leigh’s today and had the most awesome experience with Rebecca James (Becks) . I was in a wonderful large dressing room with fantastic mirrors and Becks brought me in one beautiful, fantastic fitting outfit after another. She immediately picked up on my taste in clothing and the best styles and cuts for my petite silhouette. I did not know it was possible to have a shopping experience like this! She spent hours with me and checked in the room regularly. She was so friendly, warm, inviting and helpful!! I have found my shopping expert for life. “The manager at the Buckle in Woodland Mall was exceptional. That is what real service is. I came leave to pick up my rock revival jeans and not only did they give me the jeans an hour ahead of when they opened but they did not charge me for delivery of the second pair that had not arrived yet with Federal Express. He listens to customers and knows what it takes for a repeat customer. Thank you.”
“Dear Prudence is a cute little boutique and has a variety of casual and dressy outfits and a wide selection of jewelry and accessories. Their stock changes frequently and there's also something new when I visit. Prices vary, generally anywhere from $25-$70 for most items. They also have good sale prices! Service is friendly and I would recommend for anyone looking for something unique and new for their personal or professional wardrobe.”

“Love Lands End. Been purchasing from them for over 40 years. Recently purchased 3 sets of sheets to use as gifts for grown kids in the future. Then saw that I could get them for a savings of $20 per set. I called to see if I could get a price adjustment. Was told that since it was over one week since order I couldn’t get a price adjustment but that I could return and reorder. I can and will do that but it is inconvenient for me and costly for them to process a return”
“I honestly don’t even know where to begin. This family owned & operated business is an absolute staple of Dutton, that will always treat you with the upmost respect, professionalism, and kindness on any given day. They have just about anything you could ask for in a liquor store. The establishment is always clean, organized, and extremely well maintained. The staff is honestly the best part about it. I’ve never experienced a warm, kind staff like this in my entire life. From the moment I met them and asked their names a few years ago I felt a connection that keeps me coming back week in and week out. To say I’m thankful for their kindness would be an absolute understatement. I will continue to shop here and recommend their family business until I either live to far away or I’m no longer on this planet. If I could leave more than 5 stars, I would in a heartbeat. “I would like to thank Ian for his incredible patience, honesty and his willingness to work with me. I had requested a pretty big job as it relates to highlights. It took a long time to get it done, but Ian was so professional, patient and truly cares about doing a great job. He did make it very light just as I like it and how I requested it. He is a newer stylist, so there is still some learning to do, but I sincerely would like to thank him for being so kind and caring. You can just tell that he cares about his customers and wanting to make them happy. I also really appreciated how he said if there is something you would like adjusted or corrected, don’t hesitate to call. Again, Ian, I appreciate the effort you put in today. “I had an amazing shopping experience at the Vans store today. I bought some checkered board slip ons. They are super comfortable. The service provided by Kate was excellent. Kate was very knowledgeable about the brand and was very informative. The other associate was super nice as well. Kate, her associate and I had a nice conversation and they were happy to listen to me and were very kind. Very happy after I left the store. 10 out of 10 experience!”
“Best location with the most awesome select variety of items in store. I have been shopping at this location for many years since I was a kid shopping with my mom back in the day. The store layout is great with wonderful selections but the only thing that is so off about the Woodland Kohl's is that it is not anchored into the main Woodland Mall just like over at the Rivertown location. But anyways the store seems to be well performing.”
“Run and go get their jeans all on sale right now super great deal!! I saw a girl at a different store and fell in love with her jeans she had on. I asked her where she got them she told me Aeropostale so I had to go get me the same exact pair. I'm telling you they are so cute!! A distressed kinda faded slightly bell bottom high rise jeans. I got them pair of jeans and a cute crop top shirt and only pair $30 for the both. All jeans are on sale!!”
“Prices here are all over the map, so check the tag of whatever you just found before you decide if you love it, but there are some really great deals tucked here and there. They are also the ONLY store in the city to carry women's size 4 and 4.5 shoes, and I'm very grateful that they do!”

“My daughter and I went to the mall with no intentions on finding a graduation dress, but when we walked by Altar'd State we had to go in. We were welcomed immediately and the staff members were amazing! She ended up finding the perfect dress but they didn't have her size in stock. They were able to ship the correct size right to our house with no shipping fees. We will be shopping there again soon. We had the best experience.”

“I had been a regular customer of WHBM for many years. I moved to Northern Michigan and retired, so no longer needed dressy/professional clothing. My mom passed away last week in GR and I needed a dress for her funeral. I first went to Macy’s and found that there were limited dressing rooms available and very long lines. I didn’t have time to wait. It dawned on me that WHBM is now in Woodland Mall. I walked into the store and Susan, the store manager, remembered me. She totally “styled” me. I cannot tell you how much that experience meant to me. Department stores cannot provide personal, knowledgeable attention from someone who knows their collection and what will work for you as an individual. I am firmly back in the WHBM fold whenever I am in GR. The clothing is beautiful and if you need a special piece, this is the place to go. Again, thank you Susan! You made my day!”

“Bra shopping is always intimidating but especially so when you haven’t worn anything but sports bras for essentially your whole life. I had a wedding coming up that I wanted to make sure I looked my best for, and I came in completely unsure of where to start. Karen came to my rescue! She measured me, gave me two shapewear options and explained how each one will fit, found 3 different bra options in two different cup sizes for me to try and showed me the differences between each one. I tried on the first one and although she was spot on with measurements, my dress I had brought with was very low cut and you could see the bra poking through. Karen once more came back with even more options! Soon after we found the one that worked, it fit perfectly, was very comfortable, and I honestly could not have asked for a better experience!”
“Had a great experience while shopping at this location! I had to stop in-store to process a return, and Margo was extremely helpful. I also wanted to make the drive worth it so of course I tried on multiple items and ended up leaving with some great new additions to my wardrobe! All three ladies working the sales floor were kind and attentive. Margo also made sure to check on me while I was trying my items on, and brought over other options for me to try.
