Carlton Lodge offers a clean and comfortable stay, with well-maintained rooms and friendly staff. Guests have appreciated the cleanliness of the accommodations and the ease of check-in. Many have enjoyed the unique feature of hot tub rooms, providing a cozy atmosphere for relaxation. However, the breakfast has received mixed reviews, with several guests expressing disappointment over the limited options, often lacking healthy choices like yogurt and fruit. Coffee quality has also been criticized, with some recommending that guests bring their own brewing supplies.
While the indoor pool is considered satisfactory, the outdoor pool has been noted for its lack of maintenance, with algae present and the deck needing restoration. The hotel's location is in a rural area, with some walkable amenities nearby, though crossing the busy highway to access them is not advised.
Overall, Carlton Lodge is seen as a decent place to stay, with the potential for improvement in breakfast offerings and outdoor amenities. Many guests indicated they would return, especially if they plan better for their meals and coffee needs.
As far as value for your $$$$$, this place rocks. This place I consider a great value for the cost. Sub $100 rooms in good shape.
