I had to cancel my card due to someone trying to use it in a website. No big deal I wasn’t charged and they canceled my card right away. Went to get a new one at this location and it went smoothly until the lady hands me the blocking sleeve for the card. As I’m putting the card inside it and am about to walk out she very rudely says “you good” as if I’m being too slow and she had other people to help (no one was in there but me). Do better, it’s not hard to be a nice person.

In September 19th 2023, I went with my sister to open an account with zeal (my family and I have banked with them for more than 10 years, back when it was called rivers edge) My sister has her social security card, valid Michigan ID, a notarized letter proving her residency and the last I spoke to said this wasn’t enough and refused to open her account. She even insinuated that I forged the letter proving the residency. She was a white lady with glasses. I thought it was outrageous that she was treating us so poorly and I told her if it was this much hassle that i would just open her account at Bank of America.The lady said that I should go to another bank because maybe they have different rules. This let me know I wasn’t valued as a customer. Terrible customer service, I have a mortgage with this bank and have even taken out several car loans. This is not the first time this lady does treats me and my family this poorly. I went to Bank of America with the same exact documents and they opened an account in minutes. Do better zeal

My issues are with their online bill pay. You would think that they would allow us to go through the zelle app in 2022. They do not work with Zelle app at all and force us to go through the 7-10 day bill pay section of their website. 7-10 days wait is appropriate for people who are financially comfortable. For those of us who live check to check, it’s not at all fast enough. Let’s get up to speed with the year we are living in. Chase bank allows us to use zelle. Why don’t you?

As a previous employee of the Allen Park Zeal Credit union, I am very disappointed that it is impossible to contact anyone at that location. I have tried numerous times and I have been on hold sometimes until my phone has died.My husband had been waiting for his Debit card, which was apparently lost in the mail. It took four different days, waiting on hold numerous times to finally get in contact with someone. Very frustrating.

Been on hold for about 45min now to talk about why i cant make a transaction into my investment account. Lost a bunch of money by missing stock opening today, extremely disappointed. I tried to make the transaction last night, got declined, called the fraud department. They assured me that the transaction would go through 10min after the convo. Tried again, denied. Tried this morning, denied. Wont let me link my account on their website. Cant get ahold of a representative. Probably going to close my account here.

I've an account member at this location for 43 years. From way back when it was Cabrini Credit Union. I could go in there, recognize faces, speak to someone in member services. They were bought by Zeal and all has gone downhill. I cannot even call the credit union directly anymore. I have to call the 800 number and wait on hold. I also have had TWO instances where money has been pulled from my account in error. In review, it was supposed to be from a family member's account with a nearby account number. Unacceptable. I will be looking for a smaller, friendlier credit union.
