Bought a USB cable for an emergency, maybe like double the price you would get from online, the cable connector for charing broke. I have 10 year old micro USB cables that still work at an angle but this new one here can't even last a week. Always taking more money from students

My fiance and I were just in here to buy our Macbooks for school, we were helped by a combination of Ruhan*, Andrew, and Cooper. They all were tremendous help and gave excellent customer service. Definitely recommend main campus over North Campus.

The sales staff did not try to oversell me memory capacity or apple care plan. The took time to get to know my use habits. The technicians spent a lot of time with me and my 10 year old MacBook Air. They tried to help me solve a problem with an unrecognized Apple ID that even Apple couldn’t solve. The only thing I can say that was a bit difficult was that I got passed off a couple of times as students went to class.

My 10 year old PC was failing. Shelby and colleagues diagnosed the problem, which led to my purchase of a new PC desktop. Owen worked hours to successfully clone my old computer information into the new one. I returned home to find that it worked very well. The next day, I called the shop (Michigan Union) and received helpful advice from Shelby, which solved a minor problem. Excellent service and support.

Techshop has been amazing. Always quick turnaround between ordering and delivery. Since working in Central 1 Neighborhood IT that supports Ruthven building, I have used Techshop as my primary ordering channel. Often, we have urgent needs such as onboardings submitted close to start date or just hardware that needs to be deployed quickly due to the position of the person needing the hardware. Techshop has been a vital aspect of meeting users’ needs in a timely manner. The delivery staff, members of the slack channel, and staff working at the central campus (Michigan Union) Techshop location have all be a pleasure to work with. Greg and Bob are the two go to delivery guys for the Ruthven Building and are always very friendly and kind in their interactions.

The Tech Shop staff are sooooo helpful, patient, and knowledgeable! They helped me through some urgent problems with printing accounts quickly and with good humor throughout. I really appreciate their people-centered approach to fixing technology problems!

try to be subtle with your racism next time. i went in to buy an apple pencil and was asked if i needed help which i said no (because i knew what i came for) your employee (male, brunette worked 3pm on saturdays) then proceeded to stand directly behind me, watching me and everything i picked up, making me very uncomfortable to the point i just ended up leaving. soooo if you want to be racially profiled and followed around, this is the place.

Took my airpods pro in since the case didn't work. quick fix, just have to send it to apple and they'll send a new one back (apple says this process takes 3 days). almost a month in and finally the ticket was updated. now it's been over a month and i still do not have my airpods.

Don’t ask them to fix anything. My headphones broke and, as a student, I thought their job was to repair products on their certain list at little to no cost, so I dropped them off. Service was confusing and longer than it had to be, like their system didn’t register I had an appointment in the first place.Two weeks later, they want an $80 service fee for diagnosing that they can’t fix them like they claimed they could, essentially wanting payment for letting me know I need to buy new headphones. I told them they could keep them and they threatened me with an extra “eco-waste” fee. Incompetent, greedy, pretty perfectly representative of other student services at UMich, like paying for lockers at the gym.

Staff was rude and unhelpful. They showed no interest in helping me fix my problem. They were not busy but prompted me to make an appointment later in the day. When I asked if I could leave my product with them until they could fix it, they said they would charge me $80 (not for the service, just to leave my speaker there). The only good thing they did was to refer me to "Apples & Oranges" in Nickels Arcade once I decided they didn't deserve my business.
