Yes, their application is intensive and it may seem that many of the questions that they ask shouldn't matter - but they do this not just in order to ensure that the adopter is safe for the animal to go home with, but also to help in pairing them with the pet that is right for their home. I am incredibly impressed by the work that they put in to make sure that each animal there not only goes to a home but the right home for all involved.
They spend a considerable amount of time with adopters; making sure they have all the pertinent information about their new best friend and providing general support. This was a breath of fresh air after other experiences of mine in the past. They are also available for questions after adoption and love when their past adopted animals come to visit them! Carrie, Lacy, and everyone at HSSCM - we think you are amazing!
Those that say they will deny you for one late vaccine or getting heartworm pills a month late are lying - both my friend and I's animals in the past were under regular care from a veterinarian but would occasionally be a month or two off and we were both approved to adopt with no issues. Don't listen to people that are just upset that they couldn't take home an animal that wasn't a good fit for them. This place is amazing!”

“Best bugs in town for bearded dragons. They take very good care of their animals and provide the best of the best when it comes to their products for the animals. When I purchase my bugs they never die and seem to last a long time. Very impressed. Friendly staff as well. All seem to enjoy what they do and know what they are doing.”
