The Chief Golf Course is a very challenging and fun course that twists and turns through thick forests. It is a lovely, well-maintained but tight layout, with small greens that require precision. The property is huge and beautifully spaced with scenic vistas, though some trees and brush need cleared. Long cart rides up and down the hills are part of the enjoyable experience. It can feel jam-packed with groups, leading to some waiting. The staff is friendly, and the on-site restaurant, The Nest, serves over-the-top good food. While pricey and needing some work on the greens, it is considered worth the trip. The recommendation is to come with extra balls, play with someone who knows the course, or play it more than once to best manage its challenges.
Beautiful course - challenging if you’re a bit wild off the tee or approach shots. Also am a member at Bellaire Centennial which is a wonderful course as well and easier to play

The course is difficult for a 38 handicap golfer but my friends and I decided to scramble to make it more fun. The course is in great shape.
