“Nordstrom is one of my go to stores at Somerset. Clean, organized store and the staff are friendly. Nordstrom also has a great return policy. I needed to return an item that I put in my car's trunk and just forgot about it. I finally brought in my return; four months later. They still accepted it.”
“You will most likely find what you need in this huge store. I don’t know why they still use the name Dollar most things are a dollar and above some things are appropriately price others are overpriced but once they get you in the store, you pretty much just go for it.”

“Overall the store was good and wide space the only thing I didn’t like was asking for help since I forgot something in my cart I asked the store manager to help me and he gave me attitude and talked to me like I wasn’t understanding him I unfortunately didn’t get a name but he was an older wider guy that’s my only complaint hopefully he has a better day another day.”

“My favorite store to shop and look around. Always neat and most of the staff is nice.There is an older lady that has been working there for a while, mainly in beauty dept with curly short light brown/blonde hair and glasses who is extremely rude and always has an attitude. On several occasions, I’ve had her follow me and has been vocal about customers getting in her way while I was browsing, and not even touching any product. Finally, I confronted her about her comment and asked if I was bothering her. She did not even apologize and instead deflected that she was just venting that customers are messing up her section. Lady, if you are unhappy with your place of employment or what you do, please do not take it out on customers who are helping keeping the business open and you employed. Nonetheless, I chose to rate 4 stars for the shopping experience (minus 1 for rude beauty dept employee) and I will still continue to shop because I enjoy the variety of items they have and good prices.”

Big Lots on Southfield Road in Southfield, Michigan holds a special place in my heart, as it was a nostalgic spot for me and my late aunt. We used to frequent this store for quick shopping trips, and I have fond memories of her waiting in the furniture area while I grabbed the things I needed. This Wednesday, I visited Big Lots without her, and while bittersweet, it was a rewarding experience.
I took advantage of my 20% off rewards to purchase toiletries, and I was pleased with the selection and prices. Although there was a slight wait in line due to only one person serving, she was efficient and cordial, making the process smooth and pleasant.
While the visit brought back memories of shopping with my aunt, I also appreciated the convenience and affordability of Big Lots. The staff's friendliness and helpfulness added to the positive experience.
Overall, I would recommend Big Lots on Southfield Road for its great deals, friendly service, and nostalgic charm. Thank you for a memorable visit.

“Hello shoppers, where do I start? First of all, I'm disappointed to hear that Big Lots is closing a significant amount of stores, I've come to rely on them for my decorations for the holidays. I went to one of their newer stores, opened w/in 2 years ago, the service I received was great, the store was well stocked and the holiday collection was easy to locate. I hope by some miracle, the stores that aren't on the chopping block, will remain around for years to come.”

“I went in for an interview and was offered a position with them after the interview. I was supposed to have orientation on November 10th but received a phone call yesterday informing me that they cannot hire anyone yet. I'm a little disappointed but the manager is going to call me as soon as she can bring me onboard.”

“It's a smidge smaller with a bit less food variety than the other Meijers in the area, but it's perfectly good and still has more variety (and better prices) than smaller local grocery stores.
They need to reopen the fitting rooms. If I wanted to buy clothes without trying them on, I'd shop online. The employee who was working near the former fitting rooms looked shocked when I handed her the items I wanted to try on saying I didn't want to buy without trying on first. The sign says it's because of covid but come on, nobody has restrictions anymore. Just pay well enough that you can have the staff to run the rooms.”

“It's my favorite place to shop since its creation in the 80s. The plethora of food means that you can find just about all the ingredients needed for your recipe. The clothes are stylish and reasonably priced. Homegoods, auto maintenance, yard care... Meijers has it.”

“They have so much good cosmetics, handbags and home goods at this location! They always have a lot of baby stuff too and toys , and the only thing I don't like about yhis location is their shoe selection but they have legit prestige brands like Gucci and Christan Dior!”
