“I had a 2005 Honda F4 600 with a broke half. Key, gas cap. You Tube cazzy fixes a joke. Went to Frentz. Even catching 10 closing time cut 2 keys from my blanks, and both work perfectly.”
“I bought a patio fire pit. Price had gone up considerably due to material costs and tariffs. To help offset the cost increase, Hunts offered to assemble at no cost. GREAT customer service!”
“I'm reminded once or twice each year how much I appreciate Tradesman Fasteners & Tool. I've been a customer since the late 90's and they always deliver 5 star service, even when my order was only $5. I'm so happy they area still doing the good work in 2026!”
“Moved to Redford a couple of years ago and while I knew where my local “Ace Hardware” was located, and it was convenient to home, the incompetencies of everyone at that store drove me nuts.
Luckily I found Township True Value and after only 1 visit it is clear that everyone is experienced and helpful!!!
Can’t wait for my next home improvement project”
“Great Lakes Ace rocks we had our windows rescreened. And their price beat everyone else. Also they offer a couple different styles of screen, depending on what you need. I have a ton of Carhartt stuff and I’ll definitely be back to buy some of that. Also, really friendly staff thanks.”
“This is the can't miss tool supply house!!! If they dont have it, they can get it pretty quickly. Come check them out! Dont be scared to bring your wallet into the showroom, Its like a candy store for those who like to use tools!!!”
“The Livonia store isn't just another Harbor Freight. Not only is it well maintained and clean and organized, the staff there is the best of any store I've visited. Not only are they incredibly friendly, they're super helpful. They truly improve the shopping experience.”
“Wonderful hardware store! This store sells everything I can never find anywhere else. They have random hardware and those little pieces you need but do not know what they are called. Many useful parts and supplies. Everyone who works there is helpful, the store is organized, and they always assist me in figuring out exactly what I need.”
“I stopped in for some help on propane tank disposal and while this store only does exchanges, I was helped on my way by the absolutely wonderful cashier. They were just so nice and happy to help me out and I'm so happy I stopped here to ask. Thanks again!”
“Frequent shopper at this store. Staff is super nice and helpful, the store is clean and organized, and items are rarely out of stock. The days of harbor freight tools being cheaply made and breaking after one use are over. The low prices are here to stay.”
“Super grateful for consistently excellent customer service at this Ace Hardware location. Yesterday, Ellington's personalized service made all the difference with the purchases I made. Kudos to mastering the customer service experience!”
“I've shopped here for over 20 yrs & never been steered wrong or gotten bad advice. Good People Work Here. I will continue to shop here for the next 20 yrs. Also found out this morning that they now have Scooter McGavin working there. Turns out Scooter is also very knowledgeable and has great advice ! ! ! ;)”
“Was frustrated i had a minor problem with a new dehumidifier. Had a call back within the hour. I was in first thing the next day. Problem solved in 15 minutes. They were outside and helped unload and load without asking.
There not just in business, they mean Business!”
“I had such a great experience at this Ace Hardware! The customer service was exceptional. I was trying to find a product to remove a grease stain from my passenger seat, and one of the employees was incredibly helpful in finding the right option for me. She was so thorough and genuinely took the time to make sure I found something that would work. I really appreciated her help and how much care she put into assisting me. Great customer service!”
“THEY ARE NOT A STIHL DEALER AT THIS LOCATION. NO STIHL. NO STIHL, NO STIHL.
Edit : Thank you for the reply. You are unfortunately the first business in the list when I search for STIHL dealerships near me. Maybe you are not advertising it but Google is listing you first.”
“We went to the store looking for help and oh boy did we find it! Joe, Christian, and Tim went above and beyond taking extra time to ensure we had everything we needed to solve our problems. If we could given them more than 5 stars we would. Thank you for help with the bathtub valves.”
“This store is the ONLY place to get smaller key duplicates trust me I tried everywhere even ace hardware, Home Depot and Lowe’s. They only have standard house door keys sizes. A&G has almost every size. Plus there’s a nice doggie to help you pick out all other hardware store items.”
“Neighborhood hardware that has mostly everything you need. This is my go to spot when I need to buy screws bolts grass seed plumbing parts and more. Employees are pleasant and I knowledgeable.”
“I’ve been shopping at this plumbing store for a while, and I can’t say enough good things about it! The employees are always helpful and knowledgeable, making every visit a great experience. Their prices are fair, and I can always find exactly what I need—no matter how specific the part or tool is. It’s become my go-to place for all plumbing supplies. Highly recommend!”
“The people at this store are top notch. Very good customer service and are willing to help make all your painting needs come to fruition. Highly recommend Merlin and his team!”
“Very friendly service AND economical. Airgas wanted almost double for the same sized replacement acetylene tank. A little tricky to find, but worth it. I'll be back when needed.”
“Great place lots of awesome deals, everything was super easy to understand, the three young ladies that assisted me were truly outstanding, they all had me in and out with no time, overall outstanding experience✅”

“I recently purchased a Husqvarna chainsaw from Outdoor Equipment with the help of salesman Matt Chmielewski. The experience was excellent—quick, hassle-free, and well-organized. The facility is clean and well-maintained, which added to the overall positive impression.
They also offer hydraulic line fabrication, which is a convenient service. The lines that Eric Samul made for me have held up better than the originals from the manufacturer. Highly recommend!”
“The guys went above and beyond to help me out. Very much appreciated. Hartsig is now my go-to for plumbing supplies. Do yourself a favor, skip the big box stores and shop local.”
“Barb, the manager, and Quany, the Cashier at Ace Hardware in downtown Farmington are so helpful and welcoming. I feel valued and have a great time when I shop there. They welcome me, and have suggested gift ideas when I ask for help. Plus they always make sure I get assistance if something is too heavy for me to lift and put in my cart or car. NO question this location has the best staff, plus their layout and merchandise rocks! It's easy to find things and they keep adding more and more variety of things to purchase, even as gifts!”
“Stopped by Ace Hardware this evening and had a really great experience. Brian was extremely helpful from the moment I walked in. I came in trying to figure out an issue with a piece of furniture that I couldn't get to easily open and close, and he was genuinely determined to help me diagnose what was going on. He didn’t just point me in a direction, he walked me through the problem and then showed me exactly what I needed to buy to fix it.
What really stood out was his patience and kindness. You can tell he actually cares about helping customers get things right, not just making a quick sale.
On top of that, he also took the time to help my wife figure out how to properly attach her PVC pipes to the wall. He walked her through options and made sure she felt confident about what to do next.
Really appreciate the level of service, it made what could have been a frustrating trip actually enjoyable. Definitely coming back.”
“I needed a pane window on a storm door refrained. They told me it would be finished the next day. They called me about an hour later to tell me it was already done. They over-delivered and I highly recommend them.”
“I have been shopping here since the 80's! Specialty bits, power tools, hand tools. This place is great! Need 1 drill bit or 1 socket? You can get most things in combo packs or buy single items! You won't believe the prices! Check them out .. you'll thank me!”

“They cut screws to size and check to see that the nut threads! Not exactly a hardware store which is a shame since Frentz is closing. Quite a few options though. The stinky chemical fragrance smell has gone down some thankfully. Always get good service. Tend to find the odd things I need. A tiny bit more expensive but a lot less stressful so it's worth it. I really wish they carried more oddball supplies. Bird seed and puzzles are some of the weird things I've bought here lol.”
