I worked for them and have given them enough time for me not to have to write this but I was working as the sthil tech they sent me down to ohio with promise to pay me back for the drive and my food at 40 dollars a day and never did. I did training that I was promised pay raises on and never got which lead to me causing a scene as I was missing 180 dollars every two weeks. They have known about the AC problem sense the middle of May when I told them it was broken. The owners of this company only care about how much you can make them and not about you as a person or customer. I have the text messages to prove what they owe me and the pay raises I was supposed to receive. It's been two weeks now and still have heard nothing this company cares about no one plz stay away from and Clouse owned Ace Hardware as they don't treat any right. We are now at a month sense the orginal part of this post and I have still not heard anything from the office in regards to my complaint it goes to show that this franchise of Ace Hardware is dishonest and shows that they don't do anything to make things right because they made out on top of it. im on the phone with corporate

Bought 3 pallets of wood heat pellets....paid 800 cash. One month later and I still have no pellets. Manger was completely incompetent and rude...I'll never darken their door again

Buyers beware absolutely no refunds on battery pack power tools anything to do with batteries lawn mowers that take fuel I'm assuming also chainsaws went to return product brand new never used needed refund because I got the item for Christmas and I purchased one on my own didn't know I was getting one from my family they absolutely would not take it back Brand new like they handed it to me paid cash 2 days later went to return it to get a refund no refund not even the supplier where the product came from they said they can't see why the consumer would not give a refund they only handle warranty so got stuck with a product now I own two of them don't need one I'm a senior citizen and that's how they treat customers not too happy with them won't go there again to buy anything so know your policy or their policy I should say before you buy a product do your homework first pretty sad not a happy customer I am not

After seeing a chat that was posted online about the manager putting this young lady in a body bag I really don't think anyone should be visiting the big rapids store as I was reading the argument between 2 young ladies it got out of hand when a man who is supposed to be a professional says he will put someone in a body bag I know me or my family won't be shopping there thanks to Donavan I'll let you all be the judges

I purchased paint and other items this morning. I normally shop at the Reed City Ace, but they didn't have all I needed in stock so I went to the Big Rapids Ace. Donovan, the store manager, helped me today. His professionalism, knowledge, and efficiency in serving me was outstanding! Ace would seriously benefit from having an individual like him at the Reed City store, where my experience with customer service could be improved.

Overall very pleased with the service and friendliness of the staff and tremendous selection of product.
I do have one observation / request.
When I get a 30lb LP tank filled there is a sign on the wall behind the cash register that states very clearly that the cost is $20.99 + tax. However, there are times when the when the cashier claims that isn't the price and charges what is in the POS system $23.99 + tax. Other times, I'm charged what's on the wall.
Would someone with authority please make a decision to charge one price or the other...

Getting paint mixed here is extremely challenging. The Big Rapids store either doesn’t have somebody that is trained to mix paint and/or they don’t have the paint base mixes to provide the color you select. If you are looking for paint, I recommend choosing the Canadian Lakes store.

I loved the store and staff but with no air conditioning it was so hot in the store I had to leave. Hopefully that issue is rectified soon as I would like to be able to shop there.
