We purchased our Rv at an RV show and picked it up in Birch Run. The staff there is outstanding, from our sales person, our very informative tour guide of our new Trailer, even financial officer was informative and made that part of the experience nice. They winterized it for us, added additional covers for protection and transferred all our pulling equipment to the new rig.I have been to other General locations but have found this one to be the most personable and genuinely care about our Rv experience and not just trying to make a sale.We are looking forward to working with the team in Birch Run and are confident that the service department will treat us well, because as everyone knows RVs need some care once in awhile. If you visit Birch Run we recommend spending some time with Mary who will treat you well and help you create your dream RV experience. Thanks General RV Birch Run for a great experience.

Totally not happy with my Jayco built RV. Electrical gremlins abound. Clusters of wires not attached, loose connections, etc. Starts, randomly won't start, everything goes dead. Awning worked, didn't work no power, now it works no problem. Now I've spent a week being mostly ignored trying to get a Service Appointment, totally frustrated all around with my purchase and this company.

Great knowledgeable staff, explaining features of new travel trailer was excellent and very helpful for future use. Detailed instructions for all systems. Brought my own weight distribution hitch with sway control and they installed it, no charge. Then on top of all that, they winterize it as I bought it this late in the season. Mike Thomas and crew went well above all my expectations!

Overall very pleased with this location. The salesman I had was very knowledgeable and patient. Never felt pressured into buying. Once I took delivery of the coach it had a few minor flaws. They handled everything flawlessly with the warranty side. Very quick turnaround. The service advisor was very friendly and helpful. When I picked the coach up, it was closing time for them. One of the gentlemen that worked there offered to assist in hookup as he was walking out headed home. Most other places they would’ve walked by with blinders on.

It’s hard to write a review without time and experience with a company. We bought our Alliance trailer in June, then took it out for a three month shake down. Most RV’s will have something that needs looking into. The work they did moving over my batteries, inverter, solar from the old rig was well done at the time of purchase. Every single issue has been addressed with care not just sloped together. This includes a new front cap replacement. Other issues are being addressed with the floor and window. While Alliance stands behind the product, General has a great group of employees taking care of their customers.

My wife and I live in Cedar Springs Michigan, but drove to Birch Run to purchase our Cougar fifth wheel. We visited MANY dealerships looking for an RV, and this team was professional and treated us like valued customers. They provided the best price, and were more interested in meeting our needs than just selling another RV. Highly recommend this dealership

Purchase price: 85000. This was the worst experience ever. After almost a month waiting on finances, it would seem the RV would be ready to go on the day of scheduled pick up. As we were going through the rv, it was apparent it was never cleaned. The bathroom had large poop stains on the toilet seat. The person explaining the rv functions was not up to speed on how things worked. Didn't know how to drain the grey tank. On top of that, we had a scary ride home as the tires are dry rotted. This is a serious safety factor, shame one your company for not pointing that out. I would have gladly added new tires to the unit before pick up on top of the purchase price. After getting unit home, I also noticed the roof was not cleaned, it is very dirty. I will never bring this unit back to you all for service as I do not trust General RV.Shame on you all…..

Their service department will not stand by their work. They were also rude and unprofessional. During my appointment, two different service representatives started to argue with me from their desks. If you have something to add, come introduce yourself and say your piece. Do not interject yourself into the conversation and gang up on a customer.

We visited General RV Center in Birch Run, MI on August 26, 2023 to look at a Grand Design Toy Hauler. Our sales representative by the name of Trenton was outstanding. He is personable, genuine and knowledgeable about their product line. We were only there to "look" but will definitely have him as our sales representative if we decide to purchase one in the future.

This place will make you feel like an absolute rockstar while negotiating the purchase of your RV, but once they have your signature you are no longer their problem. We purchased a Thor Ace 32.3 from Jeff in July 23' at the birch run location. We traded in an amazing sprinter, in excellent condition, fully upgraded. The RV we got in return had a few minor problems we wrote into the contract, and general RV agreed to fix. Good luck getting into their customer service department to actually check on the status of anything. It has been weeks without word on when parts will come in or they will actually be able to get it in for service. This is after hounding their customer service department just to get a call back. They do not care once the RV leaves their lot. On top of all of this, they sold us an RV with an aftermarket catalytic converter, which voids the warranty on it. As soon as we got on the interstate, the check engine light came on. But the chassis isn't their problem, so now we are left with a $6k bill for a new one on a one year old RV, less than 7k miles on it. While signing paperwork, they will try to upsell you on every dumb upgrade possible and make it sound like your life depends on it. These people care about money, nothing else.

Worst customer service experience I have ever had. Had to have damaged repaired and they were very friendly. The repair had a few issues that I had pointed out and they said they would take care of it. They had to order parts, I do believe this was in May 2022 and was told it would take about 4 wks. I had to call back to ck on status. They had to look into it and get back with me they didn't see my order. The one time they called back they said the parts had come in but they don't know what happened to them and would have to order again. I had to call them back in October, the lady said she didn't see anything on her screen and would have to call me back later. But she said we are real busy so if you don’t hear from me by the end of the day call back tomorrow. I told her no that she will have to remember to call me back that I was tired of having to always call back. Well I received no call as usual. I called and left messages several times to speak with the service manager but to no avail. In April of 2023 I tried again to contact the service manger with no luck. They were happy to take my money and. Be done with me. I recently had a blow out on my 5th wheel and took it to a different shop and told the gentleman doing the appraisal my experience I had. He said while doing my repair he would fix my issues and not charge me since it was an easy fix. Now there is customer service. Never will step foot at General RV again.

The staff in Birch Run are the best! Very polite and personable! Had ok service at other locations, but will travel 1 hour+ just for the service here at Birch Run! Tons to look at, no rush or pressure to buy, and felt like friends/family. One of the best General RV locations! Kevin and Jill are highly recommended!

We bought our new camper here and was very pleased with our experience. Our representative was very kind and listened to what we wanted. Even better though, was the help we received from one of the service managers. We got our new unit home and couldn't get our leveling system to work, and it almost tipped her over. We could not find anyone to help us figure the problem out until we got a call from Kyle H. He has gone above and beyond to assist us. He helped to get us recalibrated and on the road. He was very patient and understanding walking me through all of the steps, while I walked around checking the unit and getting her back to level. Not only did he take the time to call me to help once, but twice!! My system got thrown off again somehow going down the road and lucky for us I was able to get in touch with him again to fix it. He is a true asset to the company and hope anyone who needs help like we did can run across their own Kyle H.

They did it. They got me. They got me good. Boy oh boy I tell ya. Came in to general RV to BROWSE because I’d recently got a new job over the road, and was tossing the idea of an RV over motels. I made it CLEAR that I was there to browse. Despite this, the salesman was extremely pushy, because that’s how a salesman makes a living, by taking money from a man who works for a living. I was told that the sale was that weekend only!!!! And that if I wanted that camper for that sticker price ($14,999) they needed a deposit that day. Well guess what?!?! A week after regretfully purchasing, I see an ad posted on marketplace by the same salesman that the sale is still going on the model I purchased. LOL. The finance manager was arguably worse than the salesman in his sleaziness. I told him I wanted to sit down and speak with my loan officer from my credit union, but he was insistent on doing financing in house. The bank I was financed through is a 30 minute drive from where I live, and they don’t take payments over the phone. My phone is also “too old” to download their app, so I have to commute to make my payment. I was charged for a “full wire” for my trailer brake controller to be installed by their service team on my truck. Meaning a wire would need to be ran to my trailer plug from up front. The mechanic who installed my brake controller let me know that it was not a “full wire” and was in fact a plug n play harness behind my dash. Also, despite my sticker price being $14999, and my $2000 down payment, somehow my loan on the camper is $21,000???? Dealer fees must include the donuts they feed you in the waiting room while they steal your money. Camper came with a very short electrical cord (and that’s ALL it came with) and I had to buy an extension my first hike, as well as a sewage drain pipe. Also, my fridge hasn’t worked since day 1, the supports for the middle section of the table bed broke my first night sleeping in it (I only weigh 180lbs), and the shower head holder screws fell out of the wall my second night(brand new camper). Don’t waste your time with these greaseballs and go buy a used camper off someone who works for a living.
