“An edit to my original review: Christy the office manager reached out to me and cleared up some confusion and we were able to come to an understanding we were both happy with. So I’m updating my review to 5 stars. While I am going to stick with the new vet we are seeing now, I would consider going to VCA Woodland or Knapp in the future.
We have been going to VCA since late 2020 with our senior dogs. The first time we saw Dr Ambrose we loved her and we always made our appointments with her. All the other vets are great, sometimes you just really click with a person. After years of seeing just her for check ups, vaccines, random foot licking and eye issues, multiple teeth cleanings and extractions, and finally the death of our oldest dog; I was so disappointed when I called to ask about Dr Ambrose moving to the new location and was told without any emotion I could not transfer my care club for the last few months to see her. I have spent THOUSANDS of dollars with VCA Woodland and for the first time it felt like all they cared about was collecting my money.
I have since found a new vet, who is great with my dogs and much more affordable. I never thought shopping around for vet care was a thing, but I now realize how ridiculously high VCA’s prices are. If they had been willing to work with me, I would have transferred to VCA Knapp and continued to spend top dollar to see Dr Ambrose.
So, all of this to say, the level of care is great and I would have continued care at the new location; but I have decided to forfeit the remainder of my care club coverage after receiving no sympathy over our preferred vet moving locations.”
“I highly recommend this office! Why…. Friendly staff, clean lobby/exam rooms, knowledgeable veterinarians, appointment reminders, post-visit checkup calls, and for always being kindly/professionally cared for by every single team member.
Doja had a poor response to her previous vaccines. This was documented in our post-visit call. I loved this was reviewed before her appointment, and as a result, was pre-treated for nausea. She did fantastic this round!
Cat lovers are the best. I appreciate your compassion and attention to the details.”

“I brought my dog Apollo in for his shots, heartworm check and a fecal parasite check, as well as an exam. Everyone was very friendly and good with Apollo, the exam went better than I expected.”
“A 5-star experience for sure: This was my first vet visit with my first dog, Buddha, and staff made us feel so comfortable and welcome! The veterinarian and vet tech answered all of my questions, gave us good advice - they even gave Buddha a goodie bag with treats and a toy! (pictured below). Quick and easy to make an appointment. The veterinarian complimented my dog several times and made us feel so special. I would recommend Wealthy Street Animal Hospital to anybody needing pet care specialists.”

“1st visit for rabies shot and I'm so glad I switch to this vet clinic. The veterinary technician was so nice and knowledgeable and the veterinarian was also great. The vet took the time to do a thorough exam and explained everything. I left feeling like we found a great local veterinary clinic that focuses on the animals and not overcharging. “Kentwood cat clinic was the best experience my cat has ever had at a vet. I moved to Michigan recently and have been looking for a good vet for my beloved cat and Dr. Pair was that, she was very kind and knowledgeable. Sarah was the technician and she was great as well. I normally worry about if my cat will be scared and try to protect himself at the vet and I could tell in the exam room he felt so comfortable! He was more like the cat I see at home than a scared boy wanting to leave and go home right away. I think it's a combination of the wonderful staff as well as it's a cat only clinic. Highly recommend them if you have a cat.”

“I was a walk in and was told the estimate wait time which was accurate. Dr. Marr was so kind and understanding. She listened thoroughly to my concerns even though I overwhelmed her with 8 little kittens and their mother. She was empathetic and she was up front about prices and options. I could only do the bare minimum according to my funds. My financial situation is very tight right now and I need two root canal’s in two days. She gave me the best option for my situation and that was a huge blessing. I HIGHLY recommend Red Barn. Caring staff. She even gave me a much needed hug! I had such a hard day and my sister had to put down her horse today too. Life is so hard and my anxiety was high and they just made it a great experience for me. I’m so appreciative and thankful for them. Every place I called were booked out for two weeks or more. I’m so thankful that they offer walk ins.”

“My dog had split his toenail and the ER vet recommend I take him into my regular vet the following day if he's not in any pain. I tried going to my original vet place but they only accepted walk ins and I couldn't risk waiting another day for him, I called around and discovered the Byron Center Animal Hospital. To my surprise, they got me in within the day and had him immediately treated. They were very caring, gentle and sweet to my dog. They also answered any questions I had in a kind and patient manner. I do like how they do a follow up call and see how your pet is doing after the care, payment wise they also have options to help you apply for carecredit so you don't have to foot the entire bill upfront. I highly recommend this vet place!”
