Come take a look at Pot hole ridden streets, dilapidated buildings, & rock piles. Locals call it " Little Flint" Talk about fantastic. Truly breathtaking. Get 8 bulldozers abreast of each other, Go down 4th street, Then, 5th & the same for 6th. Its called Urban Renewal. Your plan ain't working folks. There are 5 bright spots. Jims Pizza, Frozen Farms, Ace Hardware, Cafe Rosetta Building,Keweenaw Coffee.

This is a sneaky cool NPS site. Good interpretative content. Cool artifacts to see. Very well done junior ranger program. Located off the beaten path, so you have to work to get there, but worth a visit.

We mistook the NPS headquarters for the visitor's center. A kind park ranger let us in and gave us access and a tour of the building, which is normally not open to visitors. The building was once a magnificent library and swimming pool built for the Calumet community of miners and their families. The ranger talked to us about both and the archival work being done there. When we were taken to the top floor to see what was once the children's library, we were thunderstruck. It was an absolutely magnificent space and time capsule that showed the incredible care and skill of the master craftsmen who built the library. It's the kind of library bibliophiles dream of and unlike any library we have seen. Now, sadly, the park service uses the space for storage. We hope this changes, and storage is found in another of the several buildings in the park. The library deserves to be seen.

Great historical tour of the Quincy mine. Lots of fun facts and you get an inside look at the tunnels the men worked in. Tickets to the mine include the smelter tour too.

Spread out over many sites, the park has many copper mining related attractions and buildings. Recommended seeing as many as you can! Quincy Mine is probably the star attraction and is well worth a visit. All of the mine tours in copper country are unique and worth visiting.

So interesting. Lots of sites scattered in the Keweenau, in Houghton, Hancock, and Chassel. This particular site talks about the history of the area: original occupants of Native Americans, settlers from many different countries attracted by mining jobs etc etc. Especially immigrants from Sweden, Finland, Italy, Slavic countries.

Loved this park! My son is a huge military afficianado and loved Ft. Wilkins. So interesting to see how the soldiers lived under those extreme conditions back then, and it was free!

A nice Memorial on the corner with a small gift shop. We didn't see any local artists represented in the gift shop which was a surprise. The plaques are rich with information.

Beautiful park full of amazing things you don't want to miss. This is a must see destination; make sure you block at least half to 3/4 of a day to explore many waterfalls, breathtaking nature trails ranging from 1/4 mile, easy hikes to long-distance, challenging hikes. Rivers, lakes, fields and forests all await. Please remember it is illegal to remove anything from this area as it is national park. LEAVE NO TRACE and TAKE NOTHING BUT PHOTOS. Thank you for enjoying nature respectfully and responsibly.

We took the quincy mine tour and it was fabulous! Interesting, historical, and you go in to the actual mine. You enter a large tunnel so not claustrophobic at all.

Absolutely beautiful park. Prettiest disc golf course I've ever been to. There are some unmarked ruins around the course, some of them just look like a pile of rocks.
