“As a vendor, you’re occasionally granted a rare glimpse behind the curtain — and after spending an entire week at Silver Maple, I can say without hesitation that what happens inside these walls is something truly special.

Kitchens and back-of-house operations have a way of revealing the truth about any organization. When no one thinks they’re being watched, you see people as they really are. What I witnessed at Silver Maple was nothing short of remarkable. Every single member of the team was passionate, genuinely kind, and went above and beyond — not because they had to, but because it was clear they wanted to.

The residents felt it too. Everyone was happy to be there. The warmth and hospitality weren’t performative — they were real, and the residents reflected that back at every turn.

I’ll be honest: at 35, the idea of aging has always been a quiet fear of mine — the loss of independence, the uncertainty of what that chapter of life might look like. But spending a week at Silver Maple genuinely shifted something in me. If the future looks anything like what I saw here, it doesn’t have to be something we dread. It can be something we look forward to.

Silver Maple isn’t just a facility. It’s a community run by people who truly care. I couldn’t recommend it more highly.”

“Great place and staff .
If you can donate Toliet paper, small appliances, clothing, shoes, purses to Faith In Action.
This place helps so many people .
Staff is helpful and will help unload the items you donate.
I previously took items to Haus Beside the Road on State street and the staff was rude and did not give a crap if you donated to the needy.
Do not donate to Haus beside the road in Ann Arbor.
Bring items to faith in action .please support faith in action any way you can.
Thank you for reading this review”

“I was looking for a post and to be honest was not feeling the love or support from the posts I visited. To the point of being snubbed. I contacted the Pinckney post and right away felt accepted and wanted. I am not able to be attend many of the events but love to read about them and see the photos. Thank you for making me feel I have a place and feel part of ❤️”

“Great place to volunteer. Everyone is friendly and welcoming and truly loves what they’re doing. Also the nicest horses I’ve ever met, despite all they’ve been through they’re so happy to snuggle and be pet”
