“Last Saturday I called American Mulch Producers in Southfield and spoke with Katie. She was very patient, answering all of my questions and suggesting the best options for my garden project. An appointment to send 5 yards of the 50/50 triple sifted topsoil and composted leaves was made for Sunday morning. Katie was very helpful in steering me to the correct soil mix; the clean compost smell and the rich black dirt would be perfect. Driver Ernie called before arriving. He came right on time, finding the location amongst many one-way streets with no problem. Ernie skillfully maneuvered the amazing dump truck into position along the tight alleyway, and dropped the 5 yards right on target. Thank you Katie and Ernie for a good experience!”

“My fiance and I were looking for fencing for our new home. We had walked through the store but didn't see the wood fencing we were looking for. We asked a worker and he was most helpful in not only walking us through where the fencing was, to assisting us with what type of fence to purchase. Mundo (24 year old veteran) was exceptional at answering our questions and also assisted us with check-out and loading the fencing into our car. It's workers like this that need to be promoted and praised for their willingness to help customers and go out of their way to make sure assistance is given.”

The associate we worked with was incredibly knowledgeable and thoughtful — she gave recommendations that actually complemented our existing plants instead of just trying to sell us something random.

“This is my go- to place for soil and certain vegetable plants in spring. Not many employees if you need help, but the ones who are there are helpful. What i don't like is having to order gardening supplies and then go back to the store to pick it up. They need to go back to being a full service store. I could just order from Amazon but I'd rather get my needed supplies at the store. They complain about people not buying at the store but then don't carry everything that's needed, so then I'm forced to shop Amazon.
They tend to over water their plants, but they do guarantee their plants so keep your receipts.”

“This is my first time coming in this Home Depot dearborn heights as I usually go to the one in Rochester but I was in the area so why not. I entered from the Pro door soon i entered i was greeted by RAFIQ and asked how he can help me I was looking for a certain tool to finish my deck project I was looking on the website but still couldn't find it. However, RAFIQ helped me find that tool .. He was very kind and patient and made sure I found everything I needed. Overall, great customer service here and will come by again and will make it my favorite location!”

“The customer service at this Home Depot is fantastic and noticeably better than other locations I've visited. However, the one major issue is their inventory accuracy. When I'm working on a maintenance project, I rely on the app to check stock. It will frequently show that they have 10 or 20 pieces left, so I'll drive out of my way from another location specifically for those supplies, only to arrive and find the shelf completely empty.
To avoid the wasted trip, I’ve tried calling ahead multiple times to verify if an item is actually there, but unfortunately, I can never get anyone on the phone to assist. The in-store staff is great, but they desperately need to fix their online inventory tracking and phone support.”
