“This Walmart is pretty good. There is usually always open registers. There are ample self checkout lanes at both sides of the store. The stock is good, rarely are they completely out of something I need.Even when I stop by at 2 minutes to closing the Pharmacy would check me out like usual. They get a little confused about who the drugs are for (why would a 9 year old need this much anxiety medication) when I first transfer the prescription (it's for my dog), but once they understand I never have to explain it again (dogs require a much higher dose than people).Being Up North they get busier Fri-Sun, so I try to go during the week, much quieter.The only downside of this store is the arraignment. I've been to many Walmarts and this layout seems unique. There are a few peculiarities to where stuff is located, and every year there is some department that has moved somewhere else in the store. It's not a huge deal, normally a little wondering around and I can find what I'm looking for. But there are times I have to ask someone where stuff is now.The people are nice, the store is clean and overall it's a great store for Houghton Lake.”

“The staff at this Walgreens are amazingly helpful. They have knowledge about insurance and have answered all kinds of questions about medicine for me.There seems to be a good variety of drinks and food inside this store not to mention quick gift ideas or cards for that last minute holiday stop.”

“Walgreens in Houghton lake is the where I got to pick up prescriptions for the elderly gentleman that I take care of and they work dilligantly to make sure his prescriptions are ready for me when I get there because I come from a long distance away they are great to work with”
