Irwin House Detroit

Art Galleries, Community Services/Non-Profits
Hours: The Irwin House Global Art Center and Gallery is an arts destination that provides local and visiting artists with exhibition opportunities, engages the community through arts exposure and education, and serves to nurture and empower collectors of art. Established in 2015, the center opened its doors to the public in 2018 after a hard-fought building rehabilitation. This unique space, located in the north end of a neighborhood, showcases the works of African-American and under-represented artists from the local and international communities. Visitors can enjoy a cultural experience and discover a wide range of art mediums, from paintings to sculptures, all curated with care. The Irwin House is a welcomed addition to the Detroit community, known for its fresh and inspiring curation, as well as its welcoming atmosphere that makes visitors feel at home with the artwork.
