Mt. Elliott Park is a beautiful, clean, and well-maintained part of the Detroit waterfront. It is a phenomenal water park and an awesome, beautiful gem with a wonderful splash pad and pirate ship themed water features. The park offers lots of things to do, with space to run, climb, play, and explore. It is a great park for all ages and families, with roving security guards. Visitors find plenty of open picnic tables in the shade, seating under a shaded awning, and lots of tables, making it perfect for a picnic. It is connected to the river walk and has easy dedicated parking, though parking can be limited. Amenities include a cafe, clean bathrooms, and vending machines. The magnificent flowers and landscaping on the river are noted, though they attract lots of bees.
Extremely quiet and no place for kids to enjoy military stuff. Maybe a old submarine out of commission or something.

This is a phenomenal water park? I'm totally peeved & disappointed that the website says it is OPEN, but the city is too cheap to open the faucets and let the children have some fun!! What ARE they using ALL THE TAX DOLLARS FOR???

Part of the Detroit waterfront. Clean, well-maintained, and lots of things to do. Roving security guards and lots of families. I'm impressed with water features and various hands-on sound equipment. The Gilbert family schooner water feature is awesome.
