The Canons of the ICKSP clearly take their duty of shepherding Christ's flock seriously! Reverent liturgies, beautiful historic church, and a perpetual novena to St. Joseph every Wednesday after Mass. One of the best places in Detroit to encounter our King and the man who loved Him the most.Ite ad Joseph!

Traditional Latin Mass. Both priests and parishioners are very welcoming and hold all kind of events for families/significant others. Solid theology performed and taught in one of the most beautiful and historic buildings in Detroit.

From St. Joseph Shrine
St. Joseph Shrine is an apostolate of the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest at the invitation of His Excellency, the Most Reverend Allen Vigneron, Archbishop of Detroit. St. Joseph was established in 1855 and the church was dedicated in 1873. The virtually unaltered, stunning interior features and the rich heritage of sacred music at St. Joseph beautifully complement the sacred beauty of the Divine Liturgy celebrated by the Institute. We invite you to join us at St. Joseph Oratory for daily Mass and confession, catechism for all ages, Vespers and Benediction, concerts, service opportunities, and other special events.
