The Heidelberg Project is a unique art installation located in Detroit, transforming a once-ruined street into a vibrant display of creativity. Using a wide array of discarded materials, the project showcases how "trash" can be repurposed into something beautiful and thought-provoking. Visitors often describe their experiences as emotional, resonating with the themes of familiarity and transformation present throughout the installation. The project features numerous faces, clocks with different times, and various artistic displays, inviting guests to look for hidden treasures among the pieces. Interactions with the founder add a personal touch to the visit, and guests are encouraged to pay attention to the posted rules. Despite the surrounding challenges of abandoned homes and run-down neighborhoods, the Heidelberg Project stands out as a bright spot in the area, making it a must-see for anyone exploring Detroit, whether by car or on foot. Many recommend visiting at least once to fully appreciate the creativity and impact of this remarkable project.
Love looking at this wonderful landmark. Been going here since I was knee high to a caterpillar's toes. I've collected so many pics over the years how your enjoy the short ride that I take you on with my pics. This is truly more than just a Detroit gem... It's an American one.

This place was amazing. I got to meet Tyree and he is an absolute gem. It's so cool to just walk around and admire everything. I recommend that if you have the chance to come here you most definitely should especially it being free of charge, but I would highly recommend donating some extra cash if you can.
