“I have to say, that I have never been a big fan of goodwills as far as their corporate values and how the money is dispersed in everything. But this goodwill located in Dewitt, is by far the best Goodwill I've ever been inside of. They have always been a favorite but the last couple years they have hired people who actually care about what they put out and what is sold. And it shows. Everything is perfectly organized everything is color coded. This will always be my go-to second hand stores for our home needs. *Update* still my favorite store to go to for second hand needs. But I do not like the new way they're doing their color system. They change it from the tags to the plastic piece that holds the tag. And it makes it really hard to find what's on sale and what's not.”

“One of my favorite shops in Old Town. I almost always leave with something, even when I just come in to browse. Big alt vibes. Big LGBTQ+ supporters. Spread the love.”

“What a cool store! Went in with my boyfriend (who does drag) and we found some cool stuff! The staff was so friendly and personable! It became very clear to us that this will be a normal stop for us every time we come down!”

“I saw something on Facebook and they still had it when I got there! Really reasonably priced. Everyone there so nice and helpful and every month there’s a new charity to donate to. This business does good for customers and good for the world.”

“I love thrift shopping and this store doesn’t throw out anything!!! Unlike Goodwill! The store is full of treasures! Ive gotten so many great deals there! I am a little sad prices have gone up, but you just have to shop the sales!”

“I used to enjoy shopping here for vintage finds. It was a fun treasure hunt and I was regularly inspired to also buy books, kitchen odds and ends, and donate goods and my $ change. Your prices on what vintage items you do put out for sale have become ridiculously high and have taken the fun out of it. These are donated items and you are a charity, not Goodwill or EBay. I suspect your inflated prices are keeping away those who, like me, loved a thrift find, were weekly shoppers, and ended up donating additional $$ and quality goods. You can do better.”

“My husband wants to give some kudos to Kortney for her outstanding, above and beyond, customer service she provided when he came in to sell and donate extra clothing to Plato’s Closet! She took him step by step through the process with grace and a kind heart!! Kortney deserves to be recognized by corporate for making my husband feel like it was a smooth and enjoyable process!! Due to this wonderful experience, Plato’s Closet has just found new customers for life!”

“Finally found a good thrift store in Lansing! So hard to find good thrift stores around here. Goodwill and others are way overpriced. This store is clean, we'll organized, has a great selection of furniture especially, and has great prices! This is our new regular thrift store.”

“Big store. Lots of variety from electronics, sporting goods, clothes, home goods, toys, furniture etc... Big selection of a little bit of everything. Some things are priced a bit high. The store is usually clean.”
