“This is a solid little motel if you're interested in seeing the dunes, or you just wanna get away from the big cities down state. It's basic, but it's a well run family business. I always had new towels and my trash picked up daily from my room. The café is open Wednesday to Sunday, and it always has a crowd for good reason. I recommend an omelet, because it's cooked perfectly, or pancakes with cherries because they're fluffy and delicious. If you're looking to explore and need a good place to sleep, I definitely recommend this place. I'll be back in the future.”

“I have rented from Glen Craft for a number of years. They are always friendly and willing to help accommodate renters when they can. Their rentals are in excellent condition and always very clean. The Glen Lakes can be tricky to navigate due to the shallow and rocky areas around the shoreline. Glen Craft Marina has excellent maps to help you stay out of the tricky areas.”

“An old-fashioned motel adjacent to downtown Glen Arbor within easy walking distance to shops, restaurants, and a small beach area. Neighbors were quiet at night. Our room was clean and tidy and, overall, we had a pleasant stay.

Some things to be aware of:

- Owner/staff are remote. There is no onsite office. You have to call/text for service. We had to make a couple of service calls and the response was quick.

- Check your phone for check-in instructions when you arrive since there is no office.

- There is a large ice machine at the bottom of the west stairway.

- The tap water stinks and we couldn't bring ourselves to drink it. You can take a short walk to the grocery store and buy a gallon jug of drinking water for a little over $2.00. Curiously enough, the ice from the onsite machine did not have any odor.

- Turn off the A/C unit before you run a hair dryer or you'll likely pop a circuit breaker and lose power to your entire room. If this happens, you'll have to call for service to come and reset the breaker.”
