“Had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Wes again for a followup on our cat. We came here after being completely misdirected on the proper care for our cat by Healthy Paws in Westland which Dr. Wes said could have been fatal if left untreated.
The first thing Dr. Wes did was print up the blood work and urinalysis report that Healthy Paws in Westland submitted and immediately went through every level that seemed to be a concern to us. Right away he said it looks like she has IBS, a UTI and is very constipated. He completed an XRAY as well to verify some of these things, but I was BAFFLED that we were not told any of this by the Healthy Paws in Westland which is apparently owned by the same company. We went back there 2 TIMES and they made us believe it was nothing serious and recommended us to go elsewhere if we wanted more answers.
Dr. Wes and his team here are so unbelievably thorough in their care process and our cat is now starting to show signs of feeling better, which was not happening for weeks when we went to Healthy Paws. I highly recommend Southpointe if you want your pet to get the proper care, I HIGHLY advise against going to the Healthy Paws in Westland.”

“Have been going here for about 3 years with two large rottweilers. The staff, from reception to Dr, are all wonderful! My girls are very specific with how they are trained to be handled and the team here respects that and works with me instead of against me. My girls love all the workers here and Dr P has always had my girls best interest in mind. She also helped us with our 15 year old collie/lab mix. When we had to put her to sleep the team was so compassionate and caring. While her passing was difficult for us, Dr P made it the best experience it could be for the situation and even sent a hand written condolance card. I won't take my pups any where else.”
“My beardie wasn't acting like himself so I scheduled him an appointment. The staff was really good with him even though he had a little attitude & acted more like a dog. He was tryna be a biter, luckily they did extremely with all his attitude and gave him the care he needed. Kinda pricey from the last vet he went to but it beat the 30 min drive to Ann Arbor.”
