“Sonic had such an AMAZING visit! 🐾💙 Everyone was so kind, patient, welcoming, and genuinely wonderful with both of us. I’m definitely one of those pet parents who likes to know exactly what’s going on with my baby, and they took the time to explain everything in detail without ever making me feel rushed. I left feeling completely comfortable and confident about Sonic’s care.
I also cannot say enough good things about the Kitten Early Care Plus plan! The price is honestly amazing for everything that is included, especially during such an important stage of his life. It gives me so much peace of mind knowing Sonic is getting the care he needs while he grows, without me having to stress about the cost of every little visit or service. I have several animals with complex problems and he has figured them out without a lot of extensive testing. They are so compassionate and caring.”
“Well I was worried when I found blood on mary janes pillow. Thought it was something very serious. You got me in to check her right away. Turned out she just bit her gums. I got ointment for the wound and the reassurance from the doctor took me off edge. I tend to freak out out over my baby since I have had her ever since I returned home from the military. I have done two combat tours over there in iraq and Mary jane has been there for me in my bad moments with ptsd. You also got her up to date on rabies vaccination and pills for her allergies. Your prices are very affordable and on top of everything you did for us you waved the appointment fee. So I was able to get another round of flea and tick medicine. I cant tell you what that means for a veteran on a fixed income. Your staff is friendly and very professional every time im in. This is the second time you have seen mary jane and im so happy I got recommend you by family. Your honest and I can trust you. A lot of other vets are so expensive and others recommend to many things for your dog that you dont need nickel and diming you to death. I respect all of you working there and want to let you know you made a customer for life. I wouldn't take my animals anywhere else. Thank you so much Brian Qualls.”
“After more than 11 years, I’ll be completely honest... I was ready to leave Southpoint Veterinary Hospital. There was a point where I was seriously considering looking somewhere else for my pets. Yesterday changed everything. My experience with Dr. Wess and the care he gave Debo and Naudia reminded me why having the right veterinarian matters so much. He took the time to truly listen, explain everything, answer my questions, and make sure I understood not only their care during the visit, but what they needed afterward. Debo and Naudia couldn’t be happier or healthier, and seeing how genuinely Dr. Wess cares about their quality of life meant more to me than I can put into words.
What really touched me is that Dr. Wess doesn’t just see an animal as a patient. He understands that there is a person sitting right beside that animal who loves them deeply and trusts him with a member of their family. He cares about the entire experience, from the moment you walk through the door to the care and reassurance you receive afterward. After 11 years, yesterday completely changed the way I feel, and I walked out feeling genuinely grateful that I had the opportunity to experience that level of compassion. I truly believe every animal and every person who walks through his door deserves to feel the same way. Dr. Wess won my heart yesterday, and I’m genuinely thankful for the care he gave Debo and Naudia.”

Oh let me not forget about the cost! I had an estimate done at my old vet and let's just say this place really surprised me on what the exact treatment would cost. “My beardie wasn't acting like himself so I scheduled him an appointment. The staff was really good with him even though he had a little attitude & acted more like a dog. He was tryna be a biter, luckily they did extremely with all his attitude and gave him the care he needed. Kinda pricey from the last vet he went to but it beat the 30 min drive to Ann Arbor.”

“This place truly cares about your pets. We were using another vet downriver for years, but they sold to a corporation and stopped caring. After carefully looking, we found Riverview Animal Hospital. We take both our dachshunds here. Not only are they familiar with the breed, they are kind. Honestly, its nice to see a place treat you and your pets right.”

“Me and my sweet pea drive from Detroit to visit Southgate Animal Hospital because the staff is so kind and the care is excellent. I have been bringing multiple pets here for years and have always been met with lots of compassion.
I was sitting in the lobby yesterday and listening to Frankie interact with everyone so kindly in person and over the phone. She was calling everyones pet a sweet angel. Her positivity and warmth is radiant and infectious and I hope she knows how much of an impact she is having on the patients around her. Especially in an environment that can stir up lots of anxiety for people.
I called to thank her and ended up speaking to her mom, Rita, only to find out she is radiating love and kindness in the same way, and that it runs in the family!
Ernie recently saw Dr. Sapra and he was patient, attentive, did not rush at all, and took the time to explain to me what was going on and allowed me to ask lots of questions. The nurses, I did not get their names, were also so nice and gentle.
If you are reading this review to see if you should make Southgate Animal Hospital your new vet, I couldn't recommend enough.”

“I had taken my cat here for several years. Dr Crawshaw and Dr Poindexter and all the staff are very friendly and attentive. The last year of my old boys life we were there monthly for Solensia injections, they were always great with him and were there for us at the very end. They also offer boarding and grooming on site.”

“I took my cat there today and it was really a pleasant experience. From the moment I got there the staff was so kind and helpful, they showed patience and understanding. My cat is very freight full of strangers and yet he allowed the ladies to pick him up and carry him without him hissing or meowing.
