Front desk can be particularly rude, or as other posts have said “snarky”, behavior at the desk. At times, you will be literally reprimand like a child if something doesn’t go there way, but no Grace is given to the customer. You can sure SIT THERE FOR 15-45 minutes waiting to be seen, or wait for over a week to get in with a really sick animal that is literally dying, or have your animal attacked by another dog while your dog is bleeding in front of you and at that time they literally told me to go to ER in GR because it was near “closing”. While mind you, another vet in town ended up seeing my animal immediately and carved out the time and COMPASSION for a bleeding attacked pet without question….that’s SERVICE! Or when I requested (per the front desk direction) to keep the large bags of prescription dog food in stock for your dog needs I can get it and I would go there and they wouldn’t have it (this happened routinely) so your animal has to either have food they are not suppose to…OR your basically FORCED to buy the small size bags and pay 1/4 more money for the smaller size so your dog gets the food they need. ( At over $125.00 a bag - that makes a financial difference). Did they apologize and say we will give you the two bags for the price of the big bag - nope because they made the error - then that’s all ok for them.Erin in particular is a problem personality at front desk and have had to endure her way to many times -a full on “know it all”, over jealous human being, that acts drunk with power sitting at that desk as if she’s the VET and that’s her office. She’s off putting with her “I’m so so very very smart for my pants attitude” and speaks “down” to you. …I don’t need the rudeness, lack of compassion, or lack understanding. She loves that “desk power”.This incident that occurred there today was the last straw for me.So people - If you want to be treated like a beaten down abused animal - go there. I’m sure the Dr. doesn’t even know these types of service issues are occurring, it’s beyond ridiculous at this point.

We love our Vet!! We have had our puppy, Finn, for a few weeks now and we have been so grateful for the care he has received here. The staff always greets Finn with love, affection, and treats(when appropriate). Finn receives excellent care and the staff is very thorough and caring throughout the process. The staff even called us to check how Finn was doing the day after he received treatment! Thank you!

A previous vet wanted me to drug my dog for routine vet visits because my dog was “nervous”. I decided to change vets because the only time she was ever agitated was at this vet.Our first visit to Chicago Drive, staff and doctor took their time giving my dog treats and making her feel comfortable. They got her up on a higher table so they weren’t hovering over her. They were able to draw samples from two locations without any trouble. So pleased with the visit and so glad my dog doesn’t actually need to be drugged in order to be seen. Thanks again to Kristi, Raegan and Dr. Call for being so patient and kind to my 81 lb baby.

I have been taking my pets to CDVC for years and have been very happy with the care they have received. Surgery, Annual Physicals, Emergency Care, Teeth Cleaning and Grooming all done with expertise and compassion. The receptionists are helpful and friendly. Dr Coll is very knowledgeable and takes the time to explain what she is doing, offering treatment options and explaining medication usage. It’s obvious that everyone who works there is an animal lover!Thank you for being there for me and my pets!

My experience here was terrible. The demand for vet care has gone to their head. 2-3 month wait on appointments... show up exactly on time or your appointment will be given to someone else....then you can wait another month... like most, I own my dog....and as the owner I signed CDVC's release allowing my dogs medical records to be sent to me via email. THEY HAVE REFUSED because I'm not a vet...ATTITUDE the one thing you will get plenty of here.THEY ARE ALSO HEAVILY OVERPRICED. HIRE NEW STAFF...PS. I REALLY DID LIKE THE DOCTOR. She was always thorough and gave great advice and you can tell she loves it. Unfortunately her business is going to tank unless she replaces the secretaries.

We used to use Pet Vet Clinic on 28th street, but they were awful. This place is the exact opposite! They are so friendly, knowledgeable, caring, and helpful. Go here!

Dr Coll took exceptional care of our puppy during her surgery. She even came back to check on her after hours. We are thankful for her knowledge and care for the animals she helps and for the staff who was so kind and helpful! Thank you so much!

Dr. Coll took time to befriend our dog before an exam, was generous with her time and was engaging. Great experience and excellent staff. Love the online records app they use.

Chicago Drive Vet is great! A lot of the reviews say they overcharge. I don’t believe that’s true. I priced a few clinics and they aren’t the cheapest, but they also aren’t overcharging, and the service you get there is worth every penny! This coming from someone on a budget, saving for college. To the people who say they got an estimate and then were charged way more, well that happens sometimes. I went in expecting to pay a certain amount and got charged $$ more, because my kitten had worms. But I was willing to pay the amount and felt she was getting the care she needed. The staff here are super courteous, friendly, and they really care about the animals. The vet tech went over basically all aspects of kitten care with me and made sure we had no concerns, and gave a lot of great suggestions. The doctor (Dr. Weirsema) was super thorough, so thorough that she actually found the tiny scab that was just from my kitten getting a microchip inserted. Bottom line, excellent veterinary care for a fair price. Go to Chicago Drive Vet!
