“I first stayed at The Terrace in 1978. It was a nice hotel then but it has become an excellent hotel with all the improvements the owners are doing. I stayed in the new building in a lakeside room. Awesome room!
The staff are very friendly and welcoming, the bar is fantastic as is the restaurant, probably the best in the area.
There was only one problem I encountered, the beautiful new walk in shower didn’t have any place to put toiletries…no shelf or cubby. So, for people like me who bring their own stuff it’s not very convenient or user friendly. A small thing but I wanted to mention it.
I’d highly recommend The Terrace if you are planning a trip to the area! It’s an excellent property and getting better every time I visit!”

“How great is it that this small town has a wonderful and vibrant art center? Extremely wonderful! I was an arts and theatre kid so this is one of the places I spent a lot of time at. I was in plays here and I went to plays as well as exhibits. Every time I am in town I like to see the current exhibit as well. I stopped by this time to hang with my mom as she took an art class in the back. They told me the current exhibit was open so I could go check that out as well. It was an exhibit of art professors from NMU. I really loved the video piece (no picture of it) as well as the ceramic plates. There are many talented people in the yoop and for a rural area, it is rich in culture. Support the arts!”
