This credit union is rinky dinky. They have very poor customer service and outdated, difficult to use website and app. You have to go in to get anything done because their website just takes you in circles. If you want to call customer service you will be on hold for a very long time and they probably won't be able to help you. If you have fraud on your account they will not give you the money back for two weeks! That's just insane to me when other places give it back right away while they do their investigation.

I recently moved to Michigan from Texas and needed to buy a new car. I love working with Credit Unions as they have the best customer service and typically the best car loan rates. Genisys was amazing to work with. Karen, my loan officer, walked me through the process and I was even able to buy my extended warranty through them instead of the dealership and it saved me big! I was able to to get an excellent rate and now I have new bank to call home for all my future banking. There is nothing better than a credit union that caters to the person not just the large business. I look forward to a long and very fruitful relationship with Genisys! I highly recommend Karen for all your Auto Loan and loan needs!

Been standing in line for 15 minutes! All the tellers are working with customer service issues! Take care of your customers and let customer service deal with customer service! Ridiculous! I swore last time I was at this branch I would never come back! Ugh…

I had to have some information on a past account from years ago, Yvonne was amazing. She made the necessary phone calls and got the information I needed and all prepared by the time I got there. She is wonderful, a true professional and an asset to any banking institute. Thanks Yvonne!!

Karen made the loan process so easy! We did most of the work online. I went in one day for about 15 minutes to sign the paperwork. I’m not used to things working out so well.

They allow fraudulent purchases to be made with your information and do nothing about it! I reported it the day it showed up while still pending. They told me they can’t do anything until after the $500 actually comes out of my account and only then can I file a claim. A couple days later the thief gets my money and I have to go in and file a claim. It’s been 10 days and three trips to the credit union and I still don’t have my money back in my account. They don’t care about their members but they sure take care of dishonest scammers.

It's just awful. I have been with Genisys for years, and the number one most consistent thing has been the decline in quality of service. Most recently, I deposited my cash into my checking account with Genisys, upon going to my next location my card is repeatedly declined, come to find out Genisys took it upon themselves to close my card but neglected to inform me of this decision upon my arrival at their physical location, apparently it worked just fine to access my account.

The worst!!! Never had a bank or organization treat me so bad. Opened an account prior to COVID. I had some savings in the account but didn't use it. During the pandemic they started charging inactivity fees, They never contacted me to let me know, just started and continued to take my savings until it was gone.UPDATE;My initial call to the Credit Union, I had a rep who may not have understood the situation. I did receive a call back and the situation was explained to me. It is not CU policy to charge fees until account is emptied, but they were unable to contact me when fees where being charged.In the end , I spoke with a concerned and understanding representative ( I think from the Grand Blanc branch) who was able to correct the problem and I was able to stop in at the very nice and friendly Clio branch to withdraw all of my money.

Yvonne is AWESOME. Even in this dreary weather, she had a cheerful demeanor. I must also add that despite my complex and various banking needs, she provided excellent and speedy service. I absolutely adore her. She’s so sweet, someone give Yvonne a raise!

We applied for a loan through Genisys CU and living in Gladwin now, they made it SUPER easy to sign papers by letting us sign the documents via email. It was so easy and we didn't have to drive down there. Thank you so much Karen. We owe you!!

I am so disappointed. I attempted to call Grand Blanc and Pontiac only to be informed that they would call me back.Both recorded messages recommended that I go on line and visit the on line internet question and answer service.While I am totally capable of doing that it would be nice to speak with a person.So much for personal service. Sad!
