“In the quiet kingdom of the concrete lot,
Where the quarters wait in a silver slot,
The ritual starts with a rhythmic clack—
A rented vessel for the snack-aisle track.
No marble floors or soft-lit glow,
Just high-stacked boxes in a steady row.
The Middle Aisle Magic
Here lies the heart of the fever dream,
Between the frozen peas and the heavy cream.
You came for bread, perhaps a lime,
But leave with a chainsaw and a sprig of thyme.
A snorkel set? A weighted vest?
The Aisle of Shame puts the soul to test.
You didn't know you needed a wooden duck,
Until it met you in the back of the truck.
The Velocity of the Scan
The cashier sits in a throne of speed,
A blur of motion for the hungry breed.
No dawdling here, no wasted breath,
The beep of the scanner is a dance with death.
Milk and eggs fly through the air,
With the frantic grace of a county fair.
Your pride is measured by how fast you pack,
As the next in line is at your back.
The Bounty of the Blue
Winking Owl for a modest toast,
Mama Cozzi’s—the budget host.
Brioche buns that shine like gold,
And specialty cheeses for the bold.
No name brands haunt these simple shelves,
Just treasures found by the savvy selves.
The bags are brought from the trunk of the car,
To carry the loot of the bargain star.
A quarter returned to its metal home,
A weary shopper no longer must roam.
Cheap and chaotic, a beautiful spree—
The checkout song of the ALDI tea.”

Definitely going to be a regular here.”
