Old AuSable Fly Shop is a great and well-stocked fly shop with a very helpful and friendly staff. The gentlemen are outstanding, knowledgeable, and patient, offering honest opinions, great advice, and good info. They provide helpful stream beta, draw maps, and set anglers up with the right flies and gear. The shop has a good selection of materials, accessories, apparel, and equipment. They also offer guided float trips with knowledgeable and enjoyable guides. The staff is remembered for being no hassle and very helpful. It is a perfect fly shop and a great place highly recommended for any fly fisherman heading north.
The shop has a fantastic selection of both gear and flies. The staff is familiar with both the AuSable and the Manistee rivers as well as the surrounding areas. Access is convenient right where the AuSable goes under Michigan 72. They are Highly recommended. There is also great barbecue across the parking lot.

Great place,very helpful. I haven't fly fished in quite some time. The young guy, Zach was very knowledgeable, and was very patient with me. Gave me great advice to get me started back into it.
