“This was my first time actually having to go to Michigan works, and when I say I felt like I was in a nice quiet/peaceful library! Everybody there was very friendly and helpful! The best part was you dont really have to ask for help, bc if they see even a slight look of concern they would come right over there to see if there was anything possible to help!”

“Best Thanksgiving Turkey meal! Got a Thanksgiving Turkey package take-home meal. Turkey was perfect. Seasoned and ready to reheat. Juicy and great flavor. Stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberry relish, and the dinner rolls were delicious. Highly recommend for anyone that does take-home meals for holidays. Definately going here again next year. (Better than any of the restaurants we’ve got Thanksgiving meals from.)”

“An Exquisite place that's been with us for over a hundred years. Saw some short plays and a wonderful collection of Broadway Tunes curated by Sean van Schwartz. The evening included a light collection of finger foods from Lily's catering with delicious desserts made by Sue the theater creative director. They will have another great show in April so do yourself a favor and make arrangements to be there!”
“Mark Covington is AMAZING. He's building food sovereignty for the people AND running low income programs like Thanksgiving food drives, and even has food pickup available throughout the month at this location! There's fruit trees and sunflowers and if you contact him and ask him, I'm quite certain that he'll hook you up so you and your family can be fed on wholesome food, not this garbage they sell at the stores. Awesome, awesome, awesome!!!!”
“This store is amazing! Such great quality items for great prices. I found TWO of my dream thrift finds while here for the first time. I am still baffled at how new everything was & how great the prices were! Definitely coming back soon!!”

“SOAR Detroit is a wonderful program that has affected the lives of so many young kids in the detroit area in a positive way.SOAR tutoring and their staff and volunteers are such a blessing and do such a great job. Their impact on the community is a great investment for the future of our youth”
“Cats belong indoors, kept safe away from the many, many hazards being outdoors brings (e.g. cruel humans in cars, cruel humans who try to poison/harm them, infections from drinking from sitting water, cat fights leading to injuries, etc). The list goes on and on and even just a beautiful baby not knowing where it’s next good meal and clean drinking water will come from is heart breaking to think of.
Good on tlc for enforcing indoors only and spayed house mates! Thank you for all you do! ?”

“Went there for a trunk or treat event. Everyone was nice and pleasant The kids enjoyed themselves. Also if they had a wonderful presentation about the use of narcan and was given free narcan away to help the community. I love that they were making a positive impact in the community while also giving to the children.”

“We came here to donate clothes following a family member’s sudden death. The staff was amazing and one of the founders gave us a tour of the men’s and women’s areas. I appreciate them accommodating our schedule during a time of loss. I wish everyone was this organized and efficient. We left with a donation acknowledgment the same day. We’ll definitely return with more donations!”
“Got some things i needed wasn’t exactly looking forward today, but the selection is nice and everything in there is two dollars? especially in these trying times that we are in a place like this is a godsend”
“Don’t get me wrong, I love this store, it’s a hidden gem, people are always friendly, and you can find real antiques here…but the last few weeks prices are getting crazy— $339.99 for a cow skin foot stool????? I have one from Homegoods for a 3rd of that price brand new. Watch it Centerline!!! There are seniors and just regular people shopping here not Millionaires.”
“The War Memorial is an absolutely stunning venue. We had a wedding planner through Haley Makay events that managed a large amount of communication with the War Memorial and day-of coordination. The War Memorial was very accommodating. Specifically, we wanted ice cream sundaes for dessert, and they worked to make that happen. Additionally, when it looked like it might rain, they worked together with our wedding planner to come up with a great solution. On the day of the wedding, everything flowed super smoothly. We were very impressed with how quickly they served a 3 course meal to a room of 200 people. The War Memorial was amazing, and I would 10/10 recommend to anyone!”
