Located on the shores of Lake Saint Clair in Grosse Pointe Farms, The War Memorial is a beautiful and legacy-filled institution. It serves as a venue for arts, learning, and hospitality, featuring art exhibits and nice old furniture in a beautiful building. The setting is amazing, with great water views from many floors, beautiful windows for a backdrop, and a pretty outside garden on the lower level. A new greeting entrance and a new yard metal art piece have been added. It is an absolutely gorgeous venue, particularly for weddings, where the renovations make the space shine. The staff is phenomenal, efficient, professional, and quick with a smile, going above and beyond to provide a top-notch experience. They make events run smoothly and are easy going to work with. The food is very good, and the photo locations are loved. The building is accessible with an elevator to all floors and outside ramps, and inside are clean restrooms with lots of room to move.

I DJed a wedding here last weekend. It was such a beautiful venue. The etremely helpful and friendly staff made the night super easy. The food was absolutely amazing! I would highly recommend The War Memorial as a wedding venue if you are looking in the area.
