Nandi's Knowledge Cafe is a place where like minds meet. It is a potpourri of information and a warm, cozy place of intellectual exchange and knowledge. There is a large collection of African American books in every subject, with books everywhere and African art all around. It features a great lecture and event space. The atmosphere is relaxed, chill, laid back, and safe, with a vibe that makes people feel love and community. Visitors can enjoy good food for the soul, responsible drinks, and a nice patio. There is also an awesome vintage store. The establishment hosts local talent, such as poets, and fun events, with Saturday nights being particularly bomb. It is an overall great experience where people feel they have found their people.
Talk about a good time. I went there for a party. The kitchen had good food I enjoyed fish and chips. The dance floor stayed packed.

Being from the suburbs, we've never had exposure to any place like this. We meet the owner and a few others. Conversation was engaging and the atmosphere was relaxed. We came during the day on bikes and had no concerns at all. Go there, you'll have a rich time.

I was invited by my daughter on a Thursday night. I absolutely love the vibe. Bring your own food, drink and smoke. You can take in the talent of local poets or join in the fun. The atmosphere is so chill and relaxed. Nandi is such a sweet lady.
