“Great little house made into a bookstore in Windsor. I didn’t think they would have one in this town but they do. It’s not quite John K King in Detroit but it has very good selection and reasonably priced secondhand. Roger the owner was very friendly and had some really great recommendations too! I got a couple to take with me. Excellent place in a town that doesn’t have a lot to offer.”
“Toadvine is, without a doubt, my wife’s and my absolute favorite literary sanctuary. It might not be the biggest shop, but it is absolutely packed to the rafters with a staggering wealth of fantasy novels and vintage treasures.
I could easily spend hours getting lost in its cozy rows, completely losing track of time much like the hours spent immersed in the pages of our favorite worlds. Finding this place feels like discovering a secret, perfectly preserved wing of the Great Library. A truly magical little spot!
Tip: Every single shelf is a treasure trove—you might just find a hidden gem that looks like it was cataloged by Astinus himself.”
“Great community minded bookstore. amazing book selection -- they always have the obscure book I am looking for. also consistently hosts community events to support neighbors. i haven't been in the basement but I've heard that's also cool”
“I took my kid to pick out a book. He quickly found a couple books and was very pleased.
The shop is incredibly pleasant and the employee we spoke with was very friendly.”
“Absolutely the best book store in Ontario. Great mix of new and used books, great staff picks, and always have rare or niche books that you often can't find anywhere else. Love this place”

“Great local comic shop. I think they do a great job of trying to get the younger generation / new comers into the hobby. All owners and employees have been nothing but helpful to me.”
“One of the Nation's Best Bible Book Stores in America, not only did they Sell The Best
Bibles and related Bible Merchandise, they often Prayed for and with customers which
requested prayer.Iam deeply sorry to hear of their closing.
May the Lord lead and keep them in their future endeavors. As we forever know & will believe that Jesus Is Lord forever!”
“During covid, I stopped traveling to the bookstore for Beth-Immanuel Church, but I just started up the Sunday school in February. I'm glad Carla at Baker's Bible Bookstore, put together my order and all I had to do is pick it up and pay.”
“Large selection and good prices! Plus they take Apple Pay! They also have a section full of signed books, I was able to get a signed copy of a Mitch Albom book :)”
“This is my 2nd time stopping by I couldn't find "the glasses" for my husband and I. They just happened to be giving them away. I was informed by a young lady at the bank. We got our free glasses but I popped in to get my daughter a puzzle and grabbed a book. It's super cute.”
“This is the cutest book store I've been to. Linda was so sweet and welcoming. She has a variety of books and such cozy hobbies and vibes. The perfect little spot. I cannot recommend it enough. I'll definitely be back. ?”
“Allison was very helpful in getting my birthday gift novel, The Missed Connection, which also came with some trinkets. Everything came in the mail in great condition! Will definitely spend my dollars with them in the near future!”

“Used a Barnes and Noble gift card to purchase a few books. The store was neat and well organized with easy to follow signage. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Staff mentioned the rewards program but were not overly aggressive about selling a membership. Plenty of parking and a great magazine section. A wonderful space for book browsing and buying.”
“Absolutely loved this place! Great curated selection of books across genres; loved that they highlight marginalized authors, as well. Fantastic selection of stickers, journals, pens, bookmarks, and blind dates with a book... No notes on the vibes, can't wait to return!”
“It's nice to be able to still find an organized book store. A place that you can relax and enjoy a structured environment. You can grab a nice cup of tea or coffee and a snack and sit and read or socialize with a friend, you can also browse through the record albums.”
“So it's my partners birthday, and he's a huge Anne Rice fan. Hmmm, I thought. So I googled and this site came up with a 1st edition of Interview of a Vampire. WOW !!! Okay, so that's great. But the story just began. I called. Yes the book was available. It turned out that owner was chatting with me. What a great person - kind, friendly, and so into his books. I mentioned my short time frame - birthday and all. He assured me no problem. I got a lot of emails confirming the status, and arrival, and it even came ahead of plan. This is a shop we should all support. Books are so important in a digital world. Thanks for all the help. I give my partner the book tomorrow and can't wait to see his smile!”

“Any chance I can get to go to Books A Million? I will in a heartbeat over Barnes & Noble. The unfortunate thing about Books A Million is that they’re so spread apart.”

“Excellent store and staff. I've been to multiple workshops and readings here and the atmosphere is always welcoming to everyone. It's not the largest store around but, there's a lot of love that goes into it.”
“Saw a sign in a window advertising this place and decided to stop in. I asked for a specific magazine and she pulled it out of her archives for me and sold it to me! I am so excited about it, she really made my day! I highly recommend checking it out.”
“It was truly a blessing meeting Lorna she's very intelligent as a black woman. I think she is so awesome. I'm so grateful to have her as my publisher. I also feel she's definitely a God's child just from her beautiful ways she has.”
“Brilliant, beautiful bookstore. Thank you, C MacNeill, for this gift in Berkley. Highly recommend. Give yourself time to just be and browse. And come back again because time spent browsing in a shop like this is always time well spent.”
“Relevant, organized, welcoming, temperature comfortable, and remote viewing of content optional. Speakers and guest are local and from abroad. Not pressured, come as you are.”
“Hidden gem! Great selection of diverse books for children and adults. Black and brown characters! Local authors! Owners are wonderful! You can tell they love what they do.”

“I went in with a friend last week and loved this place. I could have talked with Rich all day. I bought a couple of books on his recommendation and was not disappointed. I'm hoping to do some trade in the near future. Thanks Rich!
Update: Went to a small music event on Sunday Nov 9th at Lo& Behold, Rich did a set (acoustic) and so did a few others before the Plainsmen played.
Great night, good music, good people.
Rich please consider doing more of these events.”
“Great collection of books. And I don't know her name, but she's your employee who writes horror. Cute girl with the Goth vibes, pretty eyes, and shy smile. I'm a writer, myself, and I enjoyed spending my time talking to her.”
“I live in Lansing and I came down to Detroit for the weekend and I had a blast at Mama Nandi’s spot. I received all the vibes and it was a mature crowd. I never got vibes, knowledge, and culture all in one spot so I’m giving this place a 10/10. As for the owner, very beautiful soul.”
