“I love doing the glass projects here and recently brought a friend and painted ceramics. So much fun and you can walk in! Also I get emails with events - there is something for everyone, kids, adults, those with talent, those with almost none (me). The sky is the limit. They can help guide you if you'd like. There's no time limit and that's the problem. I always want to do another project haha.”

“We had our wedding at Crystal Gardens Banquet Center in Howell, MI in July 2023. I can honestly say from the beginning to the end, I had the most amazing experience with Crystal Gardens and all of their employees. Valerie, Erica and DeVonna were both amazing to work with in terms of planning, coordinating, and answering the MANY questions that I had throughout the planning process. We got married in the outdoor chapel and had our reception in the celebrity room. Everyone told me to prepare for things to go wrong, and absolutely nothing went wrong the entire day. The staff was amazing, friendly, on top of everything, asking what we needed, and they helped make our wedding day so amazingly special. The food was incredibly and the guests spoke about the food constantly during and after the wedding. The venue is just breath taking, our photographer said the outdoor chapel felt like we were somewhere in Italy and the celebrity room holds such an elegance to it. There were so many places for our wedding party to take pictures at the venue and they turned out beautifully. I recommend this venue to anyone and everyone for their wedding or any event!”

“When looking for an outdoor wedding location my Mom mentioned Waldenwoods to me because she had seen it driving North on 23. We went in for a walk around to check out and grounds and see what they offer for outdoor weddings and I fell in love with their Sunshine Garden tent wedding location. Right off lake Walden, with the beautiful scenery and rustic buildings and atmosphere. We picked late June knowing the weather may be gorgeous but could also be wet. Turns out we got the shorter end of the stick when it came to the weather. It was 60 degrees, strong winds and rained all day long. Everyone kept joking that it was the hurricane of June 27th. This never once affected our wedding day and how much fun we had, we wouldn't change it for anything. The staff did everything they could possibly do to make our guests comfortable considering the elements. Our ceremony was moved from the outdoor lake front pergola to the reception tent with ease, and other then the high winds you would've never known it was raining while underneath the tent. It kept us all warm and dry. We somehow got lucky enough that our reception was ended with the most beautiful sunset over the lake. All our guests were raving about the location, the service and the food. The food was amazing! People are still talking about how much they loved the food! We highly recommend the Cromaine chicken and potatoes au gratin. We also had our rehearsal dinner at Waldenwoods, food was also amazing! The staff was very helpful and watchful if we needed anything at all.We recommend Waldenwoods to anyone looking for a private, rustic, vintage romantic wedding location. This place has it all!You can even rent the lodges or cottages, makes getting ready and packing up after the reception a breeze. The bridal party and I stayed in the A Frame cottage (sleeps 12), it was perfect for a girls night the night before the wedding, and you can also spend time swimming at the lake. We invited friends and family to stay in the Friendship lodge with us the night of the wedding, sleeps around 40 people and has 19 rooms. Perfect for gathering after the reception for a fire and roasting marshmallows. Thanks again to the staff at Waldenwoods for making our wedding everything we could've ever hoped for and more!”

“Decent place to bowl. Definitely has that old time bowling lanes feel and smell. One interesting choice is to lock down the control panels and reset buttons. No pin setter is perfect, but theirs weren't too bad. Only had a few instances of pins not set correctly in 8 games.”
