I prepayed days in advance for my rental car, then when I called to double confirm, they said they have no cars available. Even though I was fully charged and my reservation was confirmed. This shouldn’t be allowed! Now I’m stuck waiting 3-10 days for a return on MY money. This company is terrible. I needed a car and now have nothing and no money.

Took an hour to pick up the car after doing everything online. Wipers and lights needed replaced. Cost 3 times more than quoted.

They have no idea what 'service' might mean. Their system refused our card - our bank didn't register any attempt to charge that card, or a decline - they won't accept cash, a check, a cashier's check or a credit card called in from someone else. This company simply refuses to rent us a car, even though Expedia gave us no trouble making a reservation. We will never use Avis again, and we will urge others to avoid it as well.

Horrible experience, staff is unfriendly and doesn't inform you of everything you will need to get a car. Went there three separate times and was told each time of something new I needed instead of being told everything all at once. Canceled my reservation and will never use again

I got an suv but he told us to go with the Nissan Rogue which was brand new!! That right there was a 10!!! My son & I drove to Florida & back to Michigan in luxury!! Thank you Avis @ Reynolds Airport!!

Will 100% used Avis in the future and recommend it to anyone looking to rent a car. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the car was dirty when I got it and didn't have a full tank of gas.

Make and Model of car was as described However it was filthy inside and customer service to correct this was non-existent. Time crunched so took the car and spent 1/2 hr cleaning it myself. Never again

Do not recommend. Total tax and fees were to be $659, noticed on credit card was $859. Called and was told $200 deposit which none of the paperwork disclosed that. Then drop off vehicle cleaner and gas tank fuller than received. Than charged $689. Makes no sense! I like to know all cost and charges up front. And all the difference says is “fees”. Unhappy and will not return.

We rented a minivan to go travel for the 4th of July holiday. From the moment we picked up the van, it was making all sorts of wired noises. Couldn't pinpoint where the sound was coming from, but it sound like suspension issues. That was a nerve-racking driving 9 hours with my family in the vehicle, wasn't sure if it was going to make it to our destination. We got stuck at the gas station for an hour when we returned the vehicle because their card readers were down and we had already pumped the gas. Avis charged us an extra $125, just for being an hour behind schedule. Also, when we had picked the vehicle up the gentlemen had told us that the vehicle was not available. So we went and waisted an hour of our travel. After re-arriving to pick the rental up, the gentleman told us it was ready 10 minutes after we left.

Rude manager this Sunday morning. I booked the car, they didn't have it then refused to give me an upgrade. This is by far the worst experience I've had with avis. Some words of advice to the manager. You may wanna think about who you are talking to because if you were in anywhere BUT Jackson Michigan someone would teach you some respect.

Avis Car Rental in general is fine and usually a pretty great deal. My issue may be with this particular location. They have a hand written sign on their counter saying that they need at least 48 hours to recieve the car. The gentleman at the counter spoke to us as though we should already know this, which, perhaps we should. I have never been in that building to see the sign. I don't watch Avis commercials and I do not operate in a world in which we rent cars on any sort of regular basis. However if, as he said, this has been a policy since covid, why is there not a warning on the website? Why are we able to make a reservation for less than 24 hours out? Is it just a ploy to up-charge us when a small car is unavailable? Is it just an opportunity for their representative to treat us disrespectfully? Luckily the Avis rep on the phone was able to cancel our reservation, and if I rent through Avis again, it won't be at the Jackson location.

I returned my car on Sunday 5/14/23. I filled it with gas, wrote down the mileage & time of return. My drop off time was 11 a.m. & I was there at 10:40. The guy behind the counter was so rude to me. Told me just drop the keys in the box on the wall. I said, what about the mileage & time? He said that paperwork was mine & he'd do the checking. He didn't even want to talk with me. There was another customer returning their vehicle, but he didn't treat them that way. This guy needs a course in how to treat customers!5/12/23 Brennan was very nice and informative. My boyfriend and I have rented from this location before and the cars are well maintained and clean.

We attempted to rent a car from here. We made a reservation to pick up at noon on Saturday. No warning that it closed at noon. Management later said that a location does not receive a notification of online reservation. Why allow reservations right when they are closing? What is the good of a reservation if the location isn’t notified? We arrived at 11:58. Nobody was there. Management could not do anything to make it right. How disappointing.

I rented here one time, and what I don't like is you can't even reach a human being when you call their local number. You get someone from India who can barely speak English. I tried calling just to add an extra day, but the person over the phone said it's going to cost over $200 extra, so of course I said no. The guy behind the desk at their location is not customer service oriented. I ended up going with Enterprise for my next rental and I've been happier with them because they're friendlier, have a wider selection of vehicles, and you can talk to a local person when you hit star.

Didn’t have the suburban I booked. Last minute before vacation they told me I could take a conversion van. Worked out ok but not what I wanted and also looked like somebody lived in it at the beach when they give it to me. Had no choice but to take it.
