Avoid Goldsmith & Associates!! At best, they are incompetent. Their business practices are questionable. Their personnel are arrogant and tell clients things that simply are not true and extremely misleading. They made multiple errors on a very basic income tax return that resulted in having to file an amended return, which meant having to wait an additional 4 months for the IRS refund. They claim to doublecheck all work, but this error was so basic and obvious that if they had done any level of checking, they would have caught it. They were unresponsive to follow-up emails, and not the least bit apologetic for their egregious errors. Stay away from them!!!

My overall impression of Goldsmith & associates, is they are friendly, prompt and organized. My wife especially liked Jesse seelye. Price was a bit exorbitant in my opinion 522.00 for a simple return. For contrast and comparison I went to Willis and jurask for one of my previous returns which included a 1099 from one of my wife’s job and the price was 360.00. As long as all goes well with my return I will more than likely use Goldsmith again for taxes and financial planning. In closing I would like to refer to the old adage, that you get what you pay for. If I could suggest anything to goldsmith ,going forward when you give your base price of 250.00 to a potential client, you should let them know that you are going to significantly increase that price based on whether said client has dependents or other factors. Thank you for your prompt work on my tax preparation.

Highly recommend Goldsmith & Associates! We recently started a new buisness and didn't know where to start. Brad was very knowledgeable, friendly, and supportive guiding us through the process. For a growing family with multiple income streams, the Goldsmith team was very helpful and efficient in completing our complicated tax returns. Always very communicative with timely turn around.

I would definitely recommend Goldsmith & Associates! The staff is always friendly and willing to help. Whenever I have any questions or need advice they get back with me very quickly. They make you feel like a client they truly value. As a small business owner I know they have my back so I never have to worry about taxes or payroll. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a partner in any of your tax, investing and/or accounting needs.

They have been doing my accounting and taxes for 6 months now. They have always explained everything to me and made sure I knew everything step by step. They make sure they get back to me when I have a question even after hours. I have worked with Brad, Julie and Jessy. They are all amazing. 10 out of 10 fully recommend:)

They've been doing our taxes for several years, but their new employees failed to inform us about any extra documents that would be needed, not only that, the documents they ask for are for your kids, which they are 2 and 4, proof of residency which is impossible to do when your children aren't even old enough to receive mail, we previously provided the birth certificate of both kids, and ss card with their ss numbers, never had to do that again as the information was kept on file, then the audacity to ask if we could provide medical records with their names on them as if I haven't been claiming them in past years, pretty sure that I have and to ask for that to confirm residency was an instant no for me. For 6 years we have had our taxes done by Goldsmith and associates, this year we'll be finding someone else because the lack of communication by the new staff was an immediate turn off for us.

Deceptive Business PracticesGoldsmith and Associates have been doing my personal taxes for years. This year, there was a dramatic shift where the quality, competence, and ethics have severely declined. Last year our personal taxes were $465 and we started a small business but had no expenditures or income. We were advised to not file not our business in 2022 (for the 2021 tax season). This year, our personal tax bill was well over $700 and our small business taxes were $900. In addition to the $900 fee I was advised over the phone by Kelly, an accountant, that sense we didn’t file in 2021, that we would need to file this year for 2021 with another charge of $100. Our business tax bill would be $1,000. For the business alone. However, when I got to the office to sign off on the tax bill we were charged even more. I refused to sign for these charges. I grabbed my well documented tax paperwork/documents for the past year and left without signing anything.As a repeat customer and a small business owner, I am highly dissatisfied with the deplorable ethics and mismanagement of this accounting firm.Melissa Greene, MBA

As a former colleague and Tax Professional I can vouch for Brad Goldmith. He's the most knowledgeable CPA and Tax Professional in the area. I refer all my former business clients to Brad as you will not find a more accurate and informed Tax Professional.Additionally, Nathan Munro is by far the best Financial Advisor for generating wealth and retirement planning. When personally preparing returns for clients, Nate's ability to generate wealth through the market was so far ahead of other advisors that I referred my own Mother and Step father to Nate to manage their retirement accounts. That was many years ago and they wouldn't consider anyone else to manage their retirement accounts, he is the best.I highly recommend Goldsmith & Associates. You will not find a better firm in all of Jackson county.
