DO NOT JOIN!!! There are better options out there for you and your children!!! This building is run down. Staff are rude when answering calls and talking to your children while there. My kids were told they were not allowed to the restroom that they had to be 18 to be in the bathroom. Cancelled my membership was NEVER told about the cancellation policy so they charged my account. Then tried to speak with Ashley (management) she has no remorse for taking money out of my account even though the email was sent before 1/1/24 for cancellation. I am a single mother with 3 kids I did not have the money for them to take especially after the holidays! If they had told me about the policy one of the 3 times I called about cancelling or when I signed up that would have been great! Plus they were closed over the holidays. Myself and my children deserve better! So do you and your children!!!Update: I expressed my concerns on the YMCA FB page. They deleted my comments and now have blocked me? Totally unprofessional for a Community Based Organization!!! Emailed the CEO no return email addressing the concerns made with the experience or the staff.

I love the Y but this location says it's family friendly but only has one small room to accommodate Littles. I also tried to take my almost 3 year old swimming and was literally right with him in arms reach the whole time and the life guard was very rude at the small pool.My little guy took 2 fast steps before I then took a fast step to grab him. They yelled at my toddler to not run and made him cry. He's a kid and has never been to a pool before we are learning and yelling at my child will not teach him to be comfortable. I had it handled. When I asked the lifeguard what they wanted me to do she said "follow the rules, and control my child" we had not even stepped foot in the water yet. I took him in with a life jacket and he was scared and cried so we got out. This life guard then told me I "wasted my time coming here" how rude! My wife works at the store camps for the Y and I have never had issues at any other YMCA establishment. The life guard need training to understand how children act at different ages and to control their temper. We will be going to the Ann arbor location instead.

I can only comment on the basketball court. Basketball court is amazing. There are some dead spots on the floor but it wasn't that bad.

The YMCA is like my second home!!! I go there for physical, mental, and spiritual nourishment! I get positive encouragement from my dear friends, extended family, and Y staff. The staff are Always warm and friendly. The moment we walk in the door the kind, helpful staff greet us with smiles and salutations! The fitness center staff are knowledgeable and attentive to my family's needs. The aquatics staff keep a constant eye on EVERYTHING going on in the pool area. We don't have to worry about our children the staff are our second set of eyes. The YMCA is the perfect place to get families fit and healthy in a safe, friendly environment. We love Our YMCA family!!!♥️

It's a nice little place, people at the front desk are super kind, lifeguards can be strict so just be careful how you act. You have to wear a shirt in the main lobby or else you'll get lectured even if you're wearing a sports bra or a cover up. It's better to go early in the morning because they have swim lessons and if you go at like 5pm, usually the hot tub won't be open for free swim until 7 and the pool wont be open until 7:30 and they closed at 8pm when i was there.

Need better directional signs through out building. I get lost. Could be a fire trap.

Honestly didn't think I could afford to enjoy the YMCA with my children. However, their financial contribution and my discounted rate make it possible for me and my children to enjoy the activities and equipment available.

I absolutely love this place! I love the atmosphere here and all the amenities they offer like rock climbing, sauna and steam rooms, the pool, the upstairs track, basketball courts, etc. I like the variety of weight machines and equipment they have available. My only complaint is they close on Sundays in the summer. Why would you close on a weekend day when almost everybody is off of work?

I love the downtown ymca. The workers are amazing, I feel like I'm walking into a family gathering, however due to there hours only times I'm available is there rush hours. All other local gyms have better hours..

First time attending with my daughter for swim lessons, encountered a regular member who was very rude and inconsiderate- very disappointing considering this woman is a small business owner in the community. The lessons went well, so we decided to return with both our children. Unfortunately I can’t pay using the gift certificates they received so if I’m lucky there might still be an opening in the classes we need when I have an opportunity to go to the location and sign them up.

Just recently renewed my membership. Glad to see they fixed up the basketball courts. I have nothing but good things to say about this place and its staff.
