I went to Roccis for the first time on Saturday. This was my first haircut since losing all my hair after having Chemotherapy in July of 2022. I was very nervous about getting it cut.I was greeted by several friendly faces when I went in. The atmosphere was warm and inviting.I was early so I had to wait a few minutes for my Stylist Sabrina ( who was highly recommended by my daughter in law and grandson) to finish up another client.Sabrina was very pleasant and I felt at ease from the moment I sat in her chair.I would definitely recommend her to anyone else.Sabrina listened to how I wanted my hair. She also suggested a few ideas. She did a fantastic job on my hair.Will definitely be coming back ?

I went in to get a perm. My stylist was very nice and she made good talk.
We discussed what I was wanting and she made me feel confident when she exclaimed
“Yeah I get you! I know what i’m going to do”
I was hopeful seeing that all previous hair dressers have completely NOT listened to me.
She applied the rollers but she also went all the way down my neck. (I have short hair so going that far down is weird)
She applied the solution, rinsed, neutralizer and rise again. She started to chuckle nervously and told me the color was seeping out and all my dye was coming out with the rollers. She said she had seen a little color but not that much. I walked up to the mirror and my hair was light brown. I came in with pink and black hair.
She puts me under a blower and it was hot air. I didn’t know anything about perms but i DID know heat was not the best choice. Anyway- she brings me over and my hair looks WEIRD. I stay quiet.
SHE THEN PULLS OUT A FLATTENING IRON AND STRAIGHTENS MY HAIR-
Didn’t make sense in my mind. Not a bit.
Before you say “why didn’t you say anything?” I’m highly anxious and was already tense and holding my breath. I couldn’t say anything. I was too anxious. She was also very nice and it made it difficult.
After she straightened my hair, used chemicals in it, and blew it dry again with warm air, she led me to check out.
I’m now home with a head full of fried hair. It’s dry. I understand hair being dry is normal but it’s like- DRY dry. I ask my mother who has gotten perms before, she suggested a cold soak with conditioner. I proceeded to do so and now it’s a little softer with just a small bit of more moisture.
Remember a way back where I said I had short hair? I simply cant cut the bad away. I will be bald. This also happened after I had told multiple people I had a wedding to attend in a WEEK-
Beyond this disaster- the store owners??? husband came over and inspected the process and made little comments under his breath and continuously touch mine and my friends shoulder a few times without asking and kept doing it too.
Ending of this being:
I had a horrendous experience and now I have nothing to do with my hair. No wig, no room for a wig, can’t cut it off, cant “grow it out” cant wash it out, can put anything in it and have to attend my cousins wedding with a haystack on my scalp.

I had my 2 boys 3 and 5 y.o. have haircuts there, super professional, fast and cheap, compared to other places in the area. Walk ins are welcome.
