Excellent service and repair! John was great, too: explained what he did and made sure I knew what to expect and how to keep my snowblower in good shape. Highly recommended!

To replace a seal on my refrigerator freezer is over $500. Who can afford these kind of repair bills? You have no competition that I could find. The seal is $269 and the labor is $269. That is outrageous!I would appreciate being given a definite time for arrival and I would appreciate not having a 8 am appointment.Service: Refrigerator/freezer repair

A plastic piece on the top of the freezer door on our side by side was broken causing the door not to close on its own. We chose not to repair because the technician, Jacob, said the freezer door would have to be replaced and it would cost $1600+ and we decided that it was too expensive. We will have to purchase a new refrigerator in the near future. In the meantime we will be sure to carefully push the door shut!Service: Refrigerator/freezer repair

John came out today to get my Craftsman 46” Riding Mower back in the yard. He completed his assessment and repair in 5 minutes and got the mower back in the yard today. I appreciate his honest work and diligence.

I contacted Sears Home Services to repair the digital screen on our refrigerator, which was damaged in an ice storm. A technician from A&E arrived on 4/11/23. He plugged a device in and reset the screen and it was fixed. The cost of this (5 minute) service was $269.00. I paid the bill on the spot and received a receipt indicating it was paid in full. I started receiving bills for the service a month later. After receiving a few bills I began attempting to call them to get the duplicate charge resolved. After spending hours on the phone in a never ending loop of prompts, I finally reached someone, who referred me to the billing department, for which you have NO option to speak with a live agent. I called and went through the whole process again and received an email address. I was told to send an email with the invoice and paid receipt, which I did. A month later it was referred to collection anyway, after all the time I spent on the phone and computer. I am now dealing with a collection agency for a bill that was PAID ON THE SPOT. I will never do business with Sears Home Services again!Service: Refrigerator/freezer repair

4 technician visits over a month and a half and about $1000 and my refrigerator went from bad to worse. On the last visit the guy said to wait 24 hours and it should cool off. Overnight the temp in my refrigerator went from 64 degrees to 70. I called to get a tech to come back out the next day to fix it again and they told me it would be yet another week. I tried to get a full refund and they told me they would only refund parts if we sent the parts back. The new parts were installed and the guy took the old ones with him so i would have been left with a partial refrigerator. They also wouldn't refund the diagnostic fee. In the end, all I have is a broken refrigerator and a submitted request for a partial refund. Now have to wait 7-10 business days to see if I even get the partial refund. This is the worst customer service experience I have ever had and I have no confidence is their ability to fix anything.

Both of the repair persons who came to our house were polite and seemed to be very knowledgeable. The first took just a few minutes to diagnose the problem and order parts. The second installed the parts in a very short time and the fridge is working fine now. The problem is that it took two weeks to get the first repair person here and two more weeks for he second repair person to put in the parts. Almost a month had gone by before the fridge was running again. A month is a long time to go without a fridge. Seems like Sears should do what other companies do - when the product is not working at all, put the customer to the head of the line. RHD

Bought a dishwasher with a maintenance plan. They don't have enough technicians so be prepared to wait weeks for a repair.
