My trash lady is amazing! She’s the driver for the Hilltop Mobile Home Community! A few times I had forgotten to put the trash out and she would stop and wait for me to get them out.. this morning I completely forgot and she took the liberty of backing up to my bins to pick up my trash! Even tho they were not put where they are supposed to be I absolutely love having her on our route

Do yourself a favor and look for another company. This company is ripping people off. I have been customer since 2021 and every year my bill increased so much. This year they tried to bill me $388 annually with trash service only. I called every year to get my price adjusted after calling to cancel it. To avoid returning the stupid trash can and additional fees, I decided to stay after they price matched with another company. Well, my price adjustment is not even processed yet and I am stuck with $388. The rep said I can go ahead and pay $388 and they will refund me the difference later. Why can’t the price adjustment be in the system by now? I called on 9/24. Ridiculous! They better refund my money or I will report them to BBB.

If 0 stars were a thing I would have selected that. Called because they took my trash can, not only left boxes that were on the can but took the time to move them in to the spot where my trash can was prior to them taking it .The second time I called they said my account was inactive, I was on hold for 45min and then offered a call back it’s a day and a half later no one returned my call after that. Switching trash companies. They also charge close to DOUBLE what some of the other guys do. However mia helped me the first time around trying to figure out why they took my trash can, and she was beyond helpful and wonderful to work with. Mia if you see this you deserve a raise.

I mean, I guess they picked up the trash on the right day. That's about the only good thing I can say. Chose them because they made it seem like they were the only option for me in my neighborhood after moving. Few months later realized I could get Arrow at $70 less a billing cycle.
To top it off the flat out double charged me one billing period, 5months ago. Still haven't seen that refund. Attached is an email I got claiming they didn't bill me twice and tried to tell me I was just looking at it wrong. They even attached a screenshot that proves I did get double billed!! They made me send them my bank statements to correct it.

Avoid Republic Services at all costs. This company has become a textbook example of poor customer service and predatory billing practices. Prices have skyrocketed—now more than double the cost of other trash providers in the Hudsonville/Jenison area—so they’re no longer the “cheap” option they once were. In addition, they charge three months in advance and refuse to prorate, even if you cancel just one day into the new cycle. You’re stuck paying for the full term, no exceptions. When calling to cancel, they’ll entice you to stay by offering to “adjust” your next bill , but it's more of a trap to keep you as a customer and continue to bill you exorbitant fees. Also, canceling service is deliberately difficult. You can’t do it online or via chat. You must call, and good luck with that—I waited 45 minutes on hold, only to be transferred to sales and put on hold again. Finally, an automated message offered to call me back but it took an hour to get this option. It's been two hours now and no call back! It’s a frustrating, time-wasting ordeal.
They're the worst company. Think Comcast times 10!

They charge you to pick up their on cans when you move. Why would l pay $104 dollars and he belongs to you. So l dropped it off and the office was closed before 5pm so l took it to the back. They have a sign that says leave you name and address but l left my phone number as well. Now they calling saying l owe money. The devil is a lie. Y'all got the products and l let message like the sign said so l owe nothing and l took a picture. Do not have to worry about Grand Rapids Trash Service... I would give them zero ⭐ if l could l see why they have more 1 ⭐ than anything else 🤷

Pick up my garbage. My receptacle is out every week and you do not pick it up.
Aug 22. August 27. No pick up. Then after I bitched, you said the driver said no receptacle was out. BS!
You picked it up finally.
Now today, a day delay because of the holiday. YOU LEFT MINE AGAIN!!!
Your company sucks big time. I have better used of my time than having to continue calling.
Better business bureau is my next stop.

Canceled services because we moved and the prices have gone up. They were regularly canceling pick ups for yard waste or delaying pick ups because of low staffing. They also charged us over $100 to pick up the cans after we canceled. If you have other options go with someone else.

Over double the price of Arrow Waste and they charge an $85 bin delivery fee and $102 bin removal fee. Absurd pricing.
