“Great Lakes Carwash is the best self-serve carwash in the area. The stalls and vacuum areas have always been clean for me. They accept both card and quarters at the stalls, and quarters only at the vacuums. They have a change machine if you need to exchange dollars for quarters.Be mindful if you use a card. Push the button on the card reader when you're done so your session ends. I accidentally paid for someone else's wash my first time here, which is my bad for not reading the instructions. :) The costs of using both the washers and the vacuums are more than fair, and I'm a slowpoke.As a bonus, during winter, hot water is used so you don't get ice sickles on your ride. It is never busy there for me on Sunday mornings, but other days and times you may have a line. If you need to clean your car, give this place a try.”

So of course I took it back to Bobs, cause they did the original work. They could have gouged and unknowing customer, instead, they said we have no money to be made here and we diagnosed it at no charge to you 3 years later!! “**Update - 12/17/23 - Broke another axle, different one than last time and if I could give 10 stars I would. Google wouldn't let me create a new review. I called, showed up an hr later and Scott had me diagnosed in 1 min, pulled a truck out of a bay and had me in within 5 mins. Tech had the old axle out, cleaned the tube and new axle with seal back in. I think this took 10 mins and I was back in service in less time than you get an oil change. This type of customer service puts every business to shame.**original ReviewIt gets no better than this place. I broke an axle in a semi, called and talked to Scott the owner and he had me in like Nascar. Axles out, inspected, housing cleaned out and fluid drained/filled and back on the road in 30 mins. This kind of service is unheard of now a days and they gave me years of experienced knowledge by answering every dumb question I had. The tech who did the work was outstanding and diligent. The pricing is beyond fair.”

“Here on a visit from out of town and the transmission breaks down in our hotel parking lot. We called 9 shops and everyone was booked or wouldn't help. The 9th shop recommended that I call affordable. I called and told them we were stuck. They came and picked up the car and put us in ahead of others because our situation. Turns out to be a minor issue rather than the expensive issue that we thought. They had us fixed and back on the road in no time. If you need an honest mechanic and food prices, this is tour place.
