“I really had no idea what Paint Protection Film (‘PPF’ in the vernacular) is. But after getting a few stone chips on my new Leisure Travel Van motorhome while traveling on the interstates, I began to research the best protection for my coach. I quickly came to the conclusion that PPF on all of the front exposed areas was the right call, with full ceramic treatment for the rest of the coach. I had the ceramic applied by a trusted custom auto detailer I’ve worked with before, Hoogs Customs in Caledonia, Michigan and Hoogs referred me to Corbin Clouse, owner of XLER8 Auto Spa for the PPF in Grand Rapids.
Although both Hoogs and XLER8 were very reasonable in terms of cost, there’s no question that this work, as labor intensive as it is, is a substantial (and definitely worthwhile) investment. As to the paint protection from chips or road debris, you want to be sure you’ve picked the right PPF product and installer to make sure you get the best possible result. In each and every respect, Corbin and XLER8 were the smartest and best possible choice I could have made. The coach is literally gleaming with its new finish - a finish that shines from every angle but, as Corbin says, is successful when you can see none of the seams - as he pulled off. The work was perfect. I feel very good about the weight and strength of the PPF product he uses. Good by, front end road and stone chips!
One of the big things with PPF, I’ve learned, is how carefully the installer tucks the leading edges into the nooks and crannies of the vehicle. Every tuck in my coach is expertly done; the result is nothing short of masterful. Corbin treated my coach as his very own and I am very glad I got referred to him by Hoogs for this work.
I can recommend XLER8 without qualification or hesitation. Grade: A+.

The plant is 24/7, they take me at 00.00 hours. I was delivering Hazmat class 3. It is only one dock, middle building right at the entrance driveway. No joke, it is pain in the a$$ backing in. After that, finding place for overnight wasn't fun too.”
