We were stranded in Lansing after a canceled flight and our car reservation through Expedia for Enterprise was not honored due to staff of 2 unwilling to clean cars. Avis to the rescue! With no reservation, he volunteered to go clean a car for us. Got us processed and on the road in under 15 minutes. Amazing service and amazing experience. Go here to be treated well!!

I rented a vehicle one way from lansing mi to orlando fl through priceline. When I picked up the vehicle the representative Samantha changed to reservation without telling me to drop off in lansing. I made it very clear I was trying to get home to Florida. I was told it was the only suv they had I could leave the state with. I provided my driver's license showing I lived in florida. Since she changed the drop off location the bill went from $622 for a week to $1500. I was not informed of the changes and was not given a contract to sign. Just handed a contract and keys and sent on my way. This is a criminal enterprise. I would highly recommend not renting from them. I currently have fraud charges filed with my credit card company against them. If that does not get the charges reversed I will get an attorney to recover my losses. Renter beware of this company

I would’ve given this place 5 stars because Najid was super nice and helpful through checking out, the older blond woman on the other hand really needs to work on her people skills.
She didn’t believe me when I told her there was issues with vehicle she gave me, and said you will have to wait. She then proceeded to give the other person in line an upgrade because they didn’t have electric vehicles “ I booked one as well but she didn’t give me an upgrade even though I came before her” she said she needs to go check for herself about the issues I mentioned. When I confronted her about why she didn’t offer me an upgrade she said that was the last one I can’t give you one.
While checking out for the other rental I had she seemed like she didn’t care, no smile, no eye contact, when I said thank you at the end she just walked away while I was asking her a question about the $200 hold.

I went to Avis during a stressful car rental crisis - I’d initially reserved with another car rental place (starts with an “E,” ahem) at the airport and as I was getting out of my uber, they called to let me know that even though my reservation via Expedia had gone through on my end, they didn’t have any cars. The guy on the phone also chided me for using “third-party” vendors. No other explanation. And I was supposed to drive to Pennsylvania the NEXT DAY. I didn’t think I’d get a car but Sam at Avis ended up helping me and I left the location with the exact car I’d reserved at the other place. She was patient and really informative on why there weee issues with rental cars in general (recalls), which calmed me down a lot - I was ready to burst out crying again but instead, left a happy customer. Avis will absolutely get my business again. Thank you for your help, Sam. It was very much appreciated.

Traveling with my three young kids and American cancelled our flight (as they usually do). Avis had an agent at the counter, had a car for us, gave us a nice discount and two car seats no charge. The agent was great and super helpful and really turned the day around for us.

Never use this company to rent your car. They will tack on all sorts of fees and charges. Very disappointed in this company.

The lack of knowledge and professionalism by the staff was horrible. The manager Nick was rude, unempathetic, and continually got confused with our reservation.
