The shelter provides a comprehensive health record, all medications needed, quality food, and a plethora of information. Animals are vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped, offering a great start. The organization relies on donations and dedicated people. While some note a policy about handling kittens only with an application, the overall sentiment is highly positive, with strong recommendations to come here for a new furry friend.

I adopted my dog Daisy in November of 2025. The staff at Capital Area were more than helpful and welcoming.
