City Rescue Mission of Lansing provides shelter, hot meals, and hot showers free of charge to those in need. Guests receive a comfortable bed for the night in a clean facility. The mission is described as a compassionate, friendly, and helpful place, with staff noted for being beyond kind. They also offer assistance with practical issues like finding apartments and provide free clothing from their thrift store. While there are rules to follow, including specific times to be in and out, it is considered an important and supportive gem in the community for anyone homeless or in need of a meal and shelter.
When I first moved to Lansing and I had nowhere to go I went here and had a place to eat, hear the Word, bathe and sleep comfortably through the night. I appreciate this place so much it really is a God send. Praise Jesus Christ.

Ignore a lot of the bad reviews. They ask you to help with basic things like stacking chairs, and only if you're not physically disabled. They helped me with issues with my ID so I could get into the shelter. Very compassionate and loving. Also a place for a hot meal even if you don't need shelter.
