I visited the LAFCU Headquarters Branch to make a transaction that required speaking directly to a teller. I sadly discovered that LAFCU completely abolished their Tellers and I was forced to go to an ATM that was inside the LAFCU Branch to complete the transaction where a person came on thru a Video Screen inside the ATM. I am disgusted that LAFCU sacrificed quality and integrity for technology. Each of the ATM' inside the Branch location had there own personal cubby space, however other customers could hear your private information as you are forced to talk out loud thru the ATM to be understood. Talking directly to a Teller face to face, you can write private information on a paper and hand it directly to a Teller to complete the transaction. For this extremely poor choice of LAFCU with abolishing the face to face Teller option and forcing it to be thru an ATM Video. I will NEVER visit LAFCU again and you have lost my Business. Face to Face service for Financial Institutions is NON NEGOTIABLE , and you LAFCU have made an epic failure. I hope other customers will close there accounts in Mass and take their money elsewhere.

Update: I have called two time and have been served in a timely manner. I appreciate LAFCU looking at reviews and working on improvements.I have updated my rating to 5 stars!The representative was kind, helpful, and knowledgeable.

IF you get a call back count your lucky stars. Also you have to listen to their "sales garbage" on hold for 10 MINUTES before they even give you the option to leave a call back number. I think I would be less stressed walking in on my 2year old with a sharpie with no cap on it then I am trying to deal with this bank

I would not recommend This credit union to nobody. They are very rude unfriendly and unprofessional customer service. I have been treated very poorly and leaving. I do not recommend this to anybody that don't want to be mistreated

I've been with LAFCU for 35 years. They're so friendly every time I call or messesge them for something. I love the ability to text with an agent now. So convenient!!!

The drive thru banking is the worst !! tellers work from home and it shows!!!!!!! Rude !!!!!! mean!!!!! Nasty!!!! The manager needs to listen to D ;@£@ transactions to see the terrible service she provides!!!!! screams at custumers w/ a really mean nasty face...

I took all of my money out of this bank today . For a bank that has a water fountain in it you would think that everything would be professional . But the wait times are simply ridiculous…. I mean an hour wait and I drove there and there’s barely anyone there …. This bank needs to be shut down even though it has been in lansing for a while

My brother went to this bank and withdrew money from his account using his ID and they somehow took the money out of my account and gave it to him. Absolutely ridiculous.Update 6/20/23:They gave him money from my account AGAIN. This place is a joke.

LAFCU is ok if you don't need an immediate answer. If you call, you will never get through to a human. They then have a recording that they will call you back. It took 45 minutes today to get my question answered with a callback. This is standard. And if you complain, they said new agents are being trained. They told me this 2 years ago also.

Waited on call for at least 35 minutes the last 2 times I have called. Their online banking isn’t very good if you have a loan through them.

Any suggestions on a new bank? Besides waisting days worth of time on hold it’s now like pulling teeth to get any type of loan from them.We know y’all are not that busy to be leaving people on hold for hours. Longest hold time I had was 3 hours 47 minutes. Completely uncalled for. Today 4/17/23, I’ve been on hold for almost an hour now.

I once had an account here for the sole purpose of paying off an auto loan; once the loan was complete I closed my account and went on with life. Later on I decided to reopen an account because of the positive experiences I had with the credit union. So last year I opened an account with the intentions of putting away an amount of cash a paycheck as an emergency fund. Immediately, I could not log into my account online, neither my username or password worked, and password reset did not work and insisted I did not have an account. I decided on going to the bank, but I work the overnight shift in a city across the state, so getting to the bank was hard and I only managed it this Saturday the 29th of April.I'm horrendous with names, but the front desk clerk was nice and friendly, and was able to locate my checking and routing numbers but was unable to allow me access to my account. The teller who I made an in-person appointment with however, was at first friendly then hostile to me; claiming that I was committing fraud for not utilizing my bank account. FRAUD! FRAUD FOR OPENING A BANK ACCOUNT! She then had the gall to ask if I wanted to open another account, to which I replied an immediate no.Avoid LAFCU like the plague. They used to be a good credit union, but lost themselves along the way if they perpetuate customers who open bank account to being fraudsters.

Watching their area manager harass construction workers while I was banking there was a huge disappointment. The bald guy yelling and harassing the working class leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Going to take my banking and loans elsewhere.
