Meijer in Lansing, MI has been a family-owned store since 1934, offering a wide range of products including fresh produce, quality meats, seafood, baked goods, and items across more than 40 departments. The store aims to provide great food, brands, and value to the community, with weekly specials and savings through mPerks. Customers appreciate the fresh produce and the variety of products available, making it a convenient one-stop shop for household needs. However, there are some concerns. Shelves are often limited, and some employees seem unhappy, which can affect the shopping experience. The self-checkout area has AI that sometimes causes difficulties, especially for those with disabilities, and cleanliness at the scanners has declined. Pickup orders can be unreliable, with frequent missing items and long wait times due to staffing shortages. Customers have noted that the store's management seems focused on profit, which impacts service quality and cleanliness. Recent remodels have led to stock shortages of common staples and household items, possibly due to space constraints or product changes. The back entrance has been removed, but an external bottle return has been added. While Meijer used to operate 24 hours, it now closes at midnight, which some customers find inconvenient. Overall, Meijer offers a broad selection but faces challenges with staffing, customer service, and maintaining the store's former cleanliness and service standards.
Overall good store but I would like to see a bigger electrics section.

Was not as busy today, thankfully. The yogurt cooler was pretty well wiped out, but I found everything else I needed

Shelves are always limited, and the employees don't seem very happy in the different departments. There are a couple of employees I completely enjoy that run the self checkout.
