I have had a recurring issues with my storage unit here. The contact information was changed from my information to my grandparents' information without my approval, and my autopay for some reason didn't go through. Instead of being alerted, I got a call from my grandparents, because Uhaul contacted them instead of me. I then tried to call the store repeatedly over several days to get things corrected and never once got through. I had to go all the way in to get things straightened back out. The only reason they are getting three stars from me is because Vicente was a huge help and so kind. His manager was helpful in walking him through the steps to remove the undeserved late fee and to correct the contact information on my account for my storage unit full of my belongings. Thank you to Vicente!

I honestly had a really bad experience by a rude snot nosed manager (Sonya) at the Uhaul in Byron Center (Grand Rapids) and I promise the customer service this location has shown me totally made up for it. These guys are so kind, it really blew my mind. I’d recommend them to anyone and everyone!

Was set up to pick up a truck at 630 am via truck share 24/7, this location didn’t set me up for this even though I had completed my registration. They said I’d need to come in person at 9:00 am. Got sent to a different location that didn’t have their trucks set up. After this wild goose chase, now I’m out of luck with movers I already paid for and no truck.

it seems the entire mgmt structure of UHAUL is guys that used to rent trucks. Don't think they have mgmt training at all. They seem to have bad communication skills too.Don't think they truly understand what customer service should mean.I am going back to Penske. They have newer trucks, better rates, and customer service.

Naomi Hensley was the employee and her supposed boyfriend who "runs" the store. Both acted unprofessional. They have a video going viral of them talking down on a black family. Calling them "erotic" and giving customers the middle finger. All caught on camera. All the customer wanted was a return on an item she didn't use. They need to be fired immediately and if the company needs proof just look up the video on Facebook.

Rented a 26-foot Uhaul on Aug 3. The reservation was at 3, and the person hadn't returned it yet. Christopher was able to find a different truck and a different store and was very helpful. He called back to make sure corporate updated me on the change

I just wanted to write that my experience with the Waverly Rd. location (and especially an employee named Chase) was absolutely outstanding. I had one of the most horrific moves in my life happening over the course of multiple days and Chase was an angel through it all. My sister even talked with him, from out of the country, and they were able to get me a couple of movers sent over for some much needed help. I was in tears when I returned my U-Haul truck because of how stressful this move was for me but Chase was a ray of light at the end of it all. I would highly recommend that he receive some kind of recognition for his work ethic and outstanding guest service. He definitely is an asset to your U-Haul team.Thank you again, Chase. Moved from rhode island and dropped my Uhaul trailer off at this location. Had some issues with the trailer during the drive, Waylon was very helpful in filing a case and resolving this issue. Took the time to help me get everything sorted out! Thank you Waylon!

Setting up the storage unit was made really easy. Had a slight issue with automated payments after I ended the rental but Christopher was super helpful, customer service was amazing and they are helping me take care of it!!

Now I understand why U-Haul has such a poor rating. The customer service is awful. I stood waiting while 3 employees basically ignored me. 1 was on the phone making a reservation and chatting to the customer about a lot of things other than renting a truck. The other 2 we're trying to do inventory and never looked up to even acknowledge my presence. Finally I said something to the 2 that we're doing inventory and they acted surprised that I would interrupt them by asking to be taken care of. Personally I think the customers come before inventory. Do your inventory when you don't have people waiting for service
