“We stayed at the Leland Lodge as part of a giveaway through Great Lakes Travel. Our group of 5 friends connecting five decades of life's journeys gathered for a weekend and the Leland Lodge was perfect. Staff accommodated us throughout our stay and we enjoyed the quietness of the area and even ventured out for a Midnight walk in the fresh snow. We appreciated the historic integrity of the Lodge, yet felt it had the amenities we needed. Highly recommend.Nearby activities: Wineries, quaint shops and excellent restaurants are in close proximity to the Leland Lodge.Safety: We ventured out at Midnight for a stroll through town and the neighborhood without any worry.Food & drinks: Bogey's has a hometown feel. Food was fresh and good and the service was excellent.”

“The rooms are cute and the location is fantastic. Very pet friendly. The reason for only 4 stars is that the rooms and location aren’t very disability friendly, the WiFi is spotty (there is no cell service so be prepared) and the parking is not ideal. That being said I would definitely stay here again.”

“Loved the Northport Inn for a weekend getaway in Northern Michigan. Close to everything but secluded enough that you can relax. The inn was clean and well maintained. A lot of reviews mentioned thin walls, but we had no issues. Easy communication and plenty of avenues for help had anything come up during our stay (nothing came up - these folks have it down!)Would definitely make it a point to stay there again.Rooms: Room was clean, spacious, and bright. It ran a little hot so I was glad I brought a fan with, but I'm sure we could have found a different solution if I wasn't obsessive about always bringing one with me.Nearby activities: Several restaurants/bars within walking distance, many wineries and bars just a quick drive down the road, easy access to Traverse City, Suttons Bay, etc... We also went to the Strongheart Civic Center to play disc golf and it was only a 15 min drive way.Walkability: Less than 2 blocks for 4-5 restaurants/bars, a grocery store, a book store, a bakery, a cafe, literally anything you would need during your stay.”

“Let me start by saying that this is an older motel, so don't expect a Hilton room. This is in a perfect location - only a bit away from busy Traverse City, and central to everything we wanted to do. We stayed in room #1 and had a nice bay view. The room was spacious. Nice kitchenette with normal size frig and a sink. We were pleasantly surprised to find silverware, dishes, cups, paper towels, and other kitchen amenities. Nice big closet. Great shower pressure and nice towels. There was a small beach across the street that we used for a short time and had a bottle of Michigan wine and just relaxed. Being older, there are of course updates that need to be done. Definitely need more lighting in the room and the air conditioner was very noisy. We would stay again as long as we get that particular room.”
