“It's not just the "dollar" that is appealing, to me it is the compact size. For instance my parents asked me to pick up a leash for them, so instead of going to the "big box store" were between finding a parking spot walking to the section and then pursuing a million item, I could be in and out in less than 5 minutes.”

Only problem I have is with the corporation, letting these workers suffer during the heat with their air conditioning not working for months, but as often as I went in there during that time they did their job and smiled! “Clean store, usually well-stocked. Not the largest variety, but for a Dollar General it's sufficient. Staff friendliness is a 50/50 shot. Some of them are spectacular and friendly, others you can tell would rather be just about anywhere else. Most of the time it's a good experience though. And a great addition for a small town to have for its residents.”
